Dr. Terry Bernard Short, MD

This Dr is a total know it all, yet knows or cares very little about your needs.Horrible Dr in every way. It's his way or no way.I am self pay, and I kindly asked him for a certain test that I need yearly and he totally refused.I am a retired attorney, and he said to me after asking him 3 times for the test."You stick to law, and I will stick to medicine"I then replied "I will see you in court for malpractice" I then called the office manager Jennifer and the clinical manager Laura.I will not go back to that sorry excuse of a Dr.I will be filing a complaint against him next week, with the N.C. Medical Board. He needs to go back to Alabama, and stay there.I am 63 years old and he is one of the worse Doctors I have ever met in my entire life.This was the first and last time that I will see this sorry excuse of a Dr. I have an appointment next week with another Dr. that I have seen before and he is a great person and a great Dr.Terry Short is neither.I would give zero stars if I could.

Dr. Terry Short is one of the most Doctors who are still here that I know of that has a wonderful bedside mannerisms, knowledge of what he is doing, shows he care about his patients and never rush you on anything ,will try and help you with your medical needs if he does not know the answer will refer you to the best doctors who can help with what your needs are. Dr. Terry Short is a wonderful Doctor that really shows and give awesome respect. What else can you expect from a doctor, truly awesome.

Dr.Short has been the family doctor for parents, my husband and myself and our children for about 20 years. He has seen our family through many very difficult life and death illnesses. He has had wonderful bedside manners and always very knowledgeable about the various health issues which we have encountered over the years. He is highly recommended. We have no complaints.

I started going to this doctor about a year and half ago. He's the worst doctor I've ever had. I tell him symptoms that bother me and he doesn't send me for any testing. He tells me take aspirin or says, "I don't think it's serious." I told him that my pain had been increasing and he didn't do anything! I explained to him my job doesn't accept doctor excuses, only FMLA is excused at my job. He refused to fill out the papers. Ok. Whatever. But after I told him my symptoms and the pain I'd been experiencing, he just walked out the room and never acknowledged that. This is how people die. You go in making complaints about minor things and doctors don't do anything to make sure its nothing serious and then it turns into something serious, which could have possibly been prevented if the doctor would have just taken ten minutes to do his job! This guy's wait time is so short because he doesn't do anything for patients. I am now looking for a new doctor that actually cares and takes patient's… complaints seriously.

Very good doctor. I have been using for over over 20 years and have never had a bad experence. I have and would recommend him to anyone.
