Dr. Terry H Vibbert, DDS

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Vibbert for years. I always laughingly ask someone in office if I’m getting Jekle or Hyde that day! His nurse has been with him for years and is a sweetheart! Get there at appointment time and not unusual to wait 30 minutes in waiting room, which I find nerve wrecking, just want to get in and out as quickly as possible. Wish they would pipe in laughing gas in waiting room!

This dr. Is always in a rush! Which is unnecessary because his office is not that busy. I had an old filling from a different dentist that had a ridge on it. I asked this dr. To fix it. He took out a large portion and refilled it. But it was so tight to the tooth next to it I couldn't floss. Eventually this new "patch" job dr. Vibert did came out and I was left with a chipped filling. I came back to have it fixed and he was talking about what a botched job "the last guy" did on this filling. HE WAS THE LAST GUY! He could not get me numb enough to work on the tooth. He ended up injecting me 4 times with multiple injections each time. I've never had difficulty with numbing before. I'll also note he that the chipped filling was only mildly sensitive. He finally got it numb after telling me that this was weird and that I'd be very sore from all the injections. He put the metal loop on my tooth, the thing that holds the space between teeth while filling (my apologies I don't know what… these are actually called), and did a rush job removing and filling it. He was done in about 5 min. I left and was numb for some time as usual. The numbness wore off and sure enough my face felt like I got hit by a truck. (I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time and did not feel this way). I am a nurse, so I knew I should care for my injection sites to prevent infection. My gum behind (not between) my tooth, where there was no other tooth to cause this displacement, swelled up from the gum line over the top of my tooth!!! I went to urgent care and was put on an antibiotic. Several days later it is still like that. I go in to another dentist and I'm told that the gum was pinched badly and pulled upward probably by the metal thing. I now need to have oral surgery to remove the abscessed gum from my tooth! I cannot find an appointment sooner than 3 weeks away to have the surgery done. This is now 2 weeks into this issue. Please do not allow this man to ruin your mouth! I wish I'd have just left the chipped filling! At least then I could still eat and not be miserable.

He left me in agonizing pain with no aftercare instructions.
