Dr. Teruaki Kodama, MD

I went to Dr. Kodama for a "second opinion". The first Dr. I was sent to about a fatty deposit on my back right lower side said it was a "Neuroma", which I believed it wasn't; his treatment might involve damaging my nerves. Dr. Kodama told me that is was a "Lipoma", a simple fatty deposit, which I believed from my reading and my own medical experience. I asked Dr. Kodama to remove it. Dr. Kodama did everything perfectly and by the book--removed the Lipoma, sealed me up with "skin glue" and told me to take it easy for a week. No problems then or since-- that was 9 years ago. I embarrassed myself with Dr. Kodama before surgery, which also reassured me that he knew what he was doing: A paperclip from forms he showed me fell to the floor of the hospital intake room, and stupidly I picked it up and handed it to him. He accepted it, but the look on his face told me that it wasn't clean and he knew that. This Doctor will save your life. He is polite, and he will protect you.

Dr. Teri Kodama, MD is the very best and is highly recommended by his colleagues. My experience was outstanding. Dr. K. is thorough, explaining everything in detail, and making it seem like a routine procedure. His great skill is evident as my recovery was without any concerns. WELL DONE, Dr. Kodama. Dr. Kodama is an exceptional surgeon and I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. During my initial visit with Dr Kodama, he was both highly professional and very interested in my personal concerns - a rarity for a top rated surgeon. During the time of my procedure, he explained in detail what he was going to do and explained in detail how I should deal with recovery. As far as the procedure, Dr. Kodama performed incredibly and his staff informed me that he was meticulous in assuring that the procedure was the best. Dr. Kodama spent considerable time with me after my procedure and was very concerned that he should be contacted in the case of any complications. Of course, there were no complications and his expertise let me recover very quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Kodama to anyone needing surgery!!

My mother had surgery with Dr Kodama and was the best experience we could have in the worst moments. He was extremely patient with my elderly mother and explained everything in such detail that today when I recount the stories I get asked by doctors if I am in the medical field. I felt educated and comforted by Dr Kodama. I now have need of a surgeon for myself and he is the first one I thought of even if it means driving out of the way for me to see him.

Tried a follow up appointment, cannot reach his office, dialing the number and then press 0 nothing happens, doing the same and then press 1 gets you to a voicemail box and nobody returns calls.

Very nice and professional. To the point. While doing pre-op lab work, his peers said nothing but nice things and that he is one of the best in the area.

Dr. Kodama is absolutely the best, from the initial meeting to the surgery. With one meeting, i was put at ease and had no qualms about him performing surgery on me. As for the surgery, from all i can tell, he is efficient and excellent. He is well respected by his peers and the nurses cannot say enough good about him. One nurse, before the surgery, said that with Dr. Kodama, any pain would be minimal at worst. She was 100% correct. I will use him again if needed without any hesitation.

He is a great surgeon and has a wonderful bedside manner

they put me in the exam room for 30 minutes and nobody cared to explain it to me why my appointment was given to somebody else I had the first appointment of the day. Nasty treatment, even they did not bothered to apologize.
