I am now about 6 weeks post hysterectomy, repair of a prolapsed bladder and rectocele with Dr. Denehy. I can't thank him enough for taking care of all of my concerns to the highest level and not requiring a mesh sling as many surgeons do. My recovery was incredibly fast and after a week I was able to get back gradually to my every day activities. This was a surgery I had wanted to do but was hesitant because of the mesh and many gynecologists also need to have an urologist to do the bladder suspension. I feel incredible and incredibly thankful to Dr. Denehy and his amazing team at St. Barnabas. Dr. Denehy is a highly trained, well skilled surgeon and one of the best surgeons in the area. Look no further.

Dr. Denehy is an outstanding doctor. I have been Dr. Denehy’s patient for the past few years. His surgical skills are superior as I can attest to having had two successful complicated surgeries. In each instance he was patient and compassionate and took the time to answer my questions and concerns. He discussed with me my surgical options and why he had chosen the one that best suited my situation. I would recommend Dr. Denehy to anyone needing his expertise and skill. I am truly blessed to have had Dr. Denehy as my surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Denehy was a 5-star!!!! Dr. Denehy is an excellent, top-notch, straight forward doctor. I had a very large fibroid and was worried how it would impact my ability to have children, and Dr. Denehy was very direct in what he plans to do with his surgery and advised me of his surgical options. The nurses in his office are all so nice and answered all of my questions and concerns. Even down to the day I had to go to the hospital for my procedure; the hospital was impeccable and the entire process from check-in to pre-op was a breeze. While I was waiting to be taken into surgery, Dr. Denehy saw that I was visibly nervous and came to my bedside to chat and while also having one of his nurses give me something to ease my tension. This is just a depiction of his ability to not only be a great doctor, but to also show that he is always watching his patients and what is going on. I really appreciated this because it is a more personable experience with the doctor and shows… his awareness and level of care for his patients. When I was out of surgery, Dr. Denehy went and updated my family and spoke to them in detail and answered any questions they had. I stayed overnight at the hospital, and Dr. Denehy was in my room at 7:30am to check on me and talk to me and my husband. My night nurse during my stay at St. Barnabas in Livingston was Amy, and she was an absolute doll. She took exceptional care of me, and ensured my comfort, as well as walking me around the halls to help the healing process. I have never met a nurse like her, because she genuinely cared about her patient and was pleasant at all times. I am just about 2 weeks post op, and am healing more and more each day. I am so grateful to Dr. Denehy and his staff at both his office and the hospital for making this experience as seamless as possible and for the amazing outcome! I would recommend Dr. Denehy and his staff to anyone especially with more complex issues! Thank you Dr. Denehy!!!!

Dr Denehy is an excellent experienced and professional doctor. He takes the time to inform you of your condition and what needs to be done to help the patient. I was very pleased with my visit being that it was a very stressful situation which Dr Denehy helped ease and calm my fears. He is an extremely professional educated experienced doctor who I would recommend to anyone with serious issues.

My wife has been a patient of Dr Denehy's Livingston office for over 8 years. Ever since Dr. Taylor left, she has noticed a remarkable decline in the way her medical care has been handled, not so much by Dr. Denehy himself, but by his office staff and their complete ineptitude and lack of compassion. To be honest, my wife has had one interaction with Dr. Denehy and it was positive. His staff failed to follow-up on a fax-request sent to another office for a procedure and Dr. Denehy straightened it out. Other than that, it's been business as usual for this office staff. There is one staff member who has consistently called in wrong prescriptions, notes the wrong appointment times and in-person, has the attitude of someone who is being inconvenienced by them having to actually do their job. Not to mention that my wife's care is being administered by a medical assistant, which wouldn't be such an issue for regular check-ups. However, when issues arise where biopsies and scans are… needed, that's when the disconnect between doctor and patient becomes glaringly obvious. When doctors and in this case, M.A.'s are operating a revolving door of patients in their office, office staff have a tremendous amount of responsibility, but they also have a tremendous amount of power to screen patient's calls, keep them from speaking with doctor's directly, and all-around fail, with no repercussions, in getting their patient's the prompt medical attention they may need, or their healthcare and prescription medical needs. The absolute worse thing you can tell a patient is it is not my job to do something that has everything to do with their medical needs. Utilize this practice at your own risk. These practices need to be staffed by competent and compassionate employees, not just a warm body to fill a chair. That responsibility falls directly on the heads of the practice.

my experience with Dr. Deheny was awesome...my Dr. of 25 years has retired. I thought I was gonna be uncomfortable I was nervous and stressed, but it was not like that at all... he explain treatment plans and different options. I feel so comfortable in his office.. him and the whole the staff are amazing...they are all so polite and friendly and they really made you feel comfortable and welcomed there...they are so accommodating with any questions or concerns....i am so happy to have found this place ...i highly recommend this place

I needed to see a GYN Oncologist for a disorder I had. I went to several who treated me with poor bedside manner and did not take into account my young age or future. Dr. Denehey was the first to treat me like a person who should be cared for, instead of a medical case. He was able to “cure” my disorder with a less invasion treatment option. Not to mention he is pretty funny, which helps tremendously when you are going through something difficult and serious.
