Dr Ryals saved me. Serious and caring. Helped me with psychiatric and even guided me on health issues. He learns his patients history and directs them to better future. He did for me.

I was recommended to Dr. Ryals by a friend. On phone call when setting the apt. He made it very clear that he was a cash-only doctors office. He is a drug dealer with an MD by his name. He only uses pharmacies in mountain brook that would raise any question to DEA. Total scum.He will give you ever controlled meds you want as long as you got the cash. The sick thing about it he truly believes he helping people when really is hurting them getting them hooked on meds they don't need

Dr. Ryals is one of the most caring and kindest doctors I've ever encountered. He works very hard to find what you need as an individual to help find you relief from whatever kind of mental illness you are suffering with. He is involved and genuine-he is not the kind of doctor that just throws meds at you after fifteen minutes of knowing you. I can with all honesty say that Dr. Ryals' has not only changed my life, but possibly saved it. If you put in the time and work and are honest with him as a patient then I know he can help anyone.

Dr. Ryals is an amazing physician! I drive 2 hours for my appointments and would be willing to drive farther! He goes above and beyond for his clients. At one of my appointments he informed that my medication was in shortage and he literally called 4-5 different pharmacies trying to find one with the medication. I have never met a doctor willing to do that! Even the nicest physicians might say "call me if you have any problems"--but Dr. Ryals didn't want me to be inconvenienced at all, so he did it. I also have a 10 year old child that was diagnosed with ADHD at 5 years old and had been having trouble finding the right child psychiatrist for our son and Dr. Ryals not only gave me the names of some doctors but 2 years later, at every one of MY appointments he takes time to ask how his treatment and schooling is coming along. I recommend him anyone seeking a psychiatrist!!!

Dr. Ryals is a a gifted doctor! Always giving his patient his full attention, compassion, insight, dedication and believes in his patient and their ability to recover. Often at your pace, never commanding his way . He has changed my life and I am grateful to be under his care and I'm not embarrassed to be seeing a psychiatrist!

Dr. Ryals has been great. I've never found a psychiatrist who was so willing to work with me or who was so patient. He goes out of his way for his patients. This doctor proves that insurance companies and regulations have ruined medicine. It is so refreshing to find a doctor who cares what happens to those in his care.

His treatment doesn't stop at the office. If you have complications, you can call him, no matter what time of the day, and he will treat you over the phone and go as far as to call after hours pharmacies and make arrangements for the patient. He goes above and beyond what doctors usually call "courtesy" these days and treats his patients like family while managing to keep healthy doctor/patient boundaries. He never "settles". He keeps researching and trying until his patient is comfortable. Most importantly, he feels VERY strongly about leaving as much control in the patient's hands as he can. If the patient isn't happy with a treatment path, it isn't used. He makes his patients feel like they are his ONLY patient. He is the RARE find in a doctor these days.
