It was my first time to meet Doctor Tolleson. I immediately loved him. His smile, as big as Texas, his calm demeanor and comfort in his art immediately put me at ease. His assessment of my health situation was reassuring and comforting. I loved his layman’s terminology that made me feel I was with another human was just “what the doctor ordered” for me. I heartily recommend Doctor Thaddeus Tolleson.

Dr. Tolleson is ok. The system he works under is inadequate, their inter office communication is terrible. Communication all around lacking.

After having some chest pain, I went to Dr. Tolleson. The first visit lasted approximately 2 minutes. He asked about why I was there then scheduled me for a stress test. The day after the stress test I received a call from a nurse who said that the doctor found an abnormality and he would like to do an angiogram and install a stent if he decided it was necessary. I was not offered the option of reviewing the results with the doctor. After doing some research on stents, I was not too enthused about having one installed so I made an appointment to see Dr. Tolleson. In the exam room he first asked me why I was there. I told him that I wanted to review the stress test results. He informed me that I had an occlusion to one part of my heart and from his experience, I should have a stent installed. He spewed forth with a rapid fire list of statistics regarding people with my problem. I was unable to hear most of what was said. I told him that I didn't want a stent and he said for me… to come see him if I changed my mind. No alternative treatments were offered. This entire encounter took less than two minutes. It appeared that the only thing he was interested in was putting in a stent. It was either that or nothing. A stent installation would mean I would be dealing with blood thinners, most probably the rest of my life. Before allowing a stent to be put in you, Google "the truth about stents". There are several interesting articles.
