I was referred to Dr. Trus for GERD with Severe Esophagitis. His plan was *right on* and his approach was one of concern and spent time making sure we totally understood it as it included surgery. A very positive experience and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Trus just may be one of the best doctors I've ever been to...and sadly I've been to many due to multiple health issues starting with cancer a few years back. His bed side manner is the best I've ever experienced. Besides being kind and considerate, his calm nature is comforting and reassuring and his detailed explanations in regard to planned interventions is beyond compare. Every time I've left his office, or after the conclusion of a procedure, I feel that I know in detail what will be done, what was done, the outcome, and the plan going forward. He provides his patients with whatever time is necessary to thoroughly explain the plan of care so that his patients can be knowlegable and active participants. As an RN, I can tell you that patient involvement is key to a positive outcome. Sometimes healthcare professionals (like myself) make the worst patients because we know a little too much for our own good ~ this makes us scrutinize those involved in our care a bit more than the… average patient. With that being said, the level of trust I have for this doctor is extremely high and that is saying a lot since I had a very poor outcome with a doctor involved in a previous surgery and trust became an issue for me. Dr. Trus is the first to remind his patients that he is human. But, feel confident that while you're in his care he will do whatever is humanly possible to provide you with the absolute best outcome.
