She came in my spouse's room told him he was dying and needed hospice or palliative care. She refused to even talk to me and wanted him to agree knowing he had expressive aphasia. 1. He isn't dying we confirmed with the other doctors 2. You dont walk in a patient room and say things like that. With out first talking to family out side the door to ensure patient is aware of diagnosis. And its not empathetic or compassionate to walk in not introduce your self and just automatically say that with out speaking with the other doctors over his care. This is not good bed side manner. We encountered her in the hospital as the assigned hospital dr. We had her removed from his care team

I was taken to in patient by her superior and she was in charge of my treatment. She denied me pain medication. I am literally in pain that is intolerable. I fainted and fell got banged up pretty good. So first she suggest Motrin/ Naproxen mix, i wait a minute because we basically just discussed my warfarin (blood thinner dose) and she says is that okay with you. I am like no because I don’t want to have an internal bleed. I mean what kind of doctors, withholds pain medication because her course of treatment isn’t something that the patient can’t take. So if your in palmetto make sure that if Dr Contreras is your attending you ask for another doctor because this resident is unintelligent, sadistic, and will end costing lots of lives. My question os if she doesn’t know that coming in fresh from a whole night of rest on a Sunday none the less how she doesn’t know something most people know. It’s on TV ads for god sake. Wonder why she’s still a resident at palmetto General hospital.
