Horrible experience. Dr. Robakis spent over an hour asking me questions

Honestly, I was a bit concerned before seeing her for the very first time because of a review I could see from Google. One thing I can tell you is that I did not feel any possibility that she would be blaming her patients. She was a good listener, and probably she is a bit forthright and could be more friendly, but that shouldn't be much of a big deal in terms of her ability as a doctor. She was careful prescribing medications of my request because she perhaps has her philosophy about treating mental illness in multiple approaches from the core instead of treating symptoms on the surface with meds over meds - which I appreciated. And she is easy to communicate over the messenger. I've been greatly helped! You shouldn't be biased for (probably the only available) review.

I'm mostly writing this review to counter the other negative review on this site, which I encountered while I was looking up Dr. Robakis. I found Dr. Robakis to be refreshingly intelligent and appreciated her direct communication style. Seemed genuinely concerned about my situation.

I saw her believing she was going to be my Dr, but it was just an appt for a referral. She was nasty and very self serving. When I talked to her about my experience instead of behaving as a professional psychiatrist, she became very defensive and was shifting blame to me. She is highly unprofessional and not a caring provider.
