Dr. Thao Van Thi Nguyen, MD

My visits with Dr Nguyen have been wonderful. She is friendly, precise, and knowledgable. Her manner fosters confidence. The office staff is extremely competent and kind. I feel relaxed and well cared for at this office. I would highly recommend them.

Very efficient ,thoughtful staff. Clean orderly office. Dr Nguyen also efficient, competent, answered questions as thoroughly as possible. I havent found it helps my urinary incontinence but am hopeful that after 2 more procedures and then annually it will help to strengthen/rejuvenate the tissues nearby.

I came to this physician for an expert opinion. All I received was an arrogant and cold treatment. When I was in pain, she told me to go an Urgent Care. She saw me several times and could not solve the problem that is her specialty. Then she said that I need to see an Internist. So unprofessional! Her staff is incompetent as well.

My appointment with Dr. Nguyen required a physical exam. When I squirmed shortly after the exam had begun, because I was in pain, she told me to get dressed. She then said that based on the exam, I would be physically and mentally incapable of handling the "one" test that could diagnose the chronic condition she thought I had, and she could not help me. She also noted that if I were diagnosed, the only treatment would be medications that are very difficult to tolerate and prohibitively expensive. (Another doctor confirmed that that is false.) I was barely holding back tears at that point, and I tried to talk to the doctor. Several times, I had to ask her questions while she was standing in the doorway because she would not give me her attention. I was luckily able to see another urogynecologist after that appointment. When I squirmed during the exam, she took the time to understand why I was in pain and quickly identified the reason, rather than dismissing me. If Dr. Nguyen had… taken a few minutes to investigate what was wrong, I might've been able to avoid almost two months of being in pain and feeling without options.

This is the first doctors office that I’ve heard of that asks their patients to call their own insurance to verify if the procedures are covered or not. I thought it was strange but decided to help my mother call (she’s the patient) since she’s older and her English isn’t that good. They even wrote down doctor codes for her to ask her insurance. I called my moms insurance and they asked me a lot of questions I couldn’t answer - and said it was strange that I was calling instead of the doctors office. I then called them back since insurance couldn’t completely verify with the details that I knew and that only the doctors office would know. They still refused to call for my mom. I think it’s a patients right to ensure they know what is covered and how much they may pay out of pocket for their procedures. No one has time to go back and forth when this is something they can/should do themselves. I’ve never had any doctors office nor my mom ask this of us. If I knew all the doctor… specifics such as the correct wording and codes then it wouldn’t be a big deal and maybe I would be a doctor myself but this is a waste of time and the front desk staff was not helpful at all. My mom canceled her two procedures and this seems like an indication of the office competency.

Dr. Nguyen is very thorough and performs tests to find out how to resolve your particular issue. Office staff is great as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen.

I walked out of the preop not knowing what was going to occur during the surgery. During the pessary fitting I felt as though it was not the correct size and it was causing a lot of pain. Rather than adjusting the size, she automatically jumped to surgery as the only option. Not only did the surgery not work but it has been causing my bladder constant pain and I constantly have to relieve myself. My only prompt experience I have from the office is them collecting my deductible and coinsurance prior to surgery. When it turned out I had already met my deductible, it took several calls over a year later to receive the refund I was due. Overall I really regret not seeking a second opinion.

Great and friendly doctor and staffs. Strongly recommended by my family doctor

Clearly just wants you in and out. She is passive aggressive against her employees also. I see the way she talks to employees and patients and she is a money hog. Told me that my 86 year old mother needed surgery. How crazy! No way in the world will I make my elderly mother have surgery for something that is not serious such as frequent urination. Karma will come for the way you treat others!
