I was referred to Dr. Hubley because I have trouble staying asleep at night. The first available appointment was 4 months out. About a week before I met him, my insomnia was so bad I actually went to an ED where they prescribed me an antihistamine Atarax, which has helped significantly. I had tried melatonin before and it made me feel more tired the next. What does Dr. Hubley say? Try melatonin, get more aerobic exercise, and come back in 6 weeks with a paper record of your sleep. Nevermind that I've been keeping track of my sleep & sleep stages with a Fitbit over the last year, which shows a progressively worse sleep pattern! Or that I already exercise regularly! And because I'm not obese, he automatically rules out sleep apnea?! And when I cancelled the 'next' appointment 6 weeks out, I get a phone call the next morning from his nurse who tries to talk me to coming back into the clinic. What's the point of going in to get bad advice from a Dr who doesn't listen to or… attempt to understand his patients? I honestly feel like this clinic only wants patients to keep coming back, and if that means keeping patients sick, it's even better business for them.

I See Dr. Hubley regularly re emphysema and he is always: on time, professional, compassionate, complete and knowledgeable. I have ultimate confidence in him. Highly recommend.

He does the Safe procedure, with lots of Standard Procedure talk to back him up. But, he did not inform me ahead of time of the pain involved, nor did he give me a twilight gas as an option. I believe there were other options.

Dr spent alot of quality time explaining my disease and the treatment. He is extremely intelligent but quiet. I have to put my faith and trust him. I have been told he is the best pulmonologist in my HMO.
