Dr. Theodore Lawson, MD

Dr. Lawson is an extremely caring and knowledgeable physician. He is always quick to respond to my questions either in an emergency situation or during my in person visits. I highly recommend Dr. Lawson.

Dr Lawson has been a very caring person.Because of him my health problem has been found from one of his yearly complete physicals. He was helpful in getting to right medical group and I am being treated.

Dr. Lawson is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed a problem with my heart and reacted quickly, which led to bypass surgery. That probably extended my life.

Dr. Lawson is a very engaging listening doctor. He answers my questions thoroughly and is non judgmental in the process.

I really appreciate Dr. Lawson and his staff. He is a "matter of fact" kind of doctor and tells you exactly how things are. He listens to me and takes care of any problem in a timely manner. He explains things in detail and answers all my questions.

In the six years I saw Dr Lawson, he failed to diagnose two separate endocrine issues, one of which required surgery to resolve. The other he didn't have the basic knowledge to adequately test or treat. As others have said, he doesn't listen well and likes to hear himself talk. It's difficult to address your concerns when you can't get a word in. He can get defensive when questioned about his decisions. Every patient should be able to ask a question to better understand the treatment without feeling you've inconvenienced or offended the Dr. All Dr Lawson seems to be concerned about is making sure your lipids are in order (I don't have a lipid problem) and doesn't seem to know much about anything else. I have left his office frustrated on several occasions until, over the course of a few years my mental and physical health deteriorated so badly I was in fear of having to go onto disability. With no other options, I finally went to a different doctor who properly diagnosed the… condition requiring surgery within 10 minutes upon looking at a Basic Metabolic Panel (that I requested because I hadn't been feeling well) taken 4 years prior while I was a patient of Dr Lawson's. The other condition above was diagnosed by a PA in his office by actually running blood work when Dr Lawson was out of the office! Of course, Dr Lawson didn't believe the blood work results so had me re-run the blood work which of course re-confirmed the original diagnosis. If you are healthy, Dr Lawson may be just the doctor for you. Just hope that you don't come down with a health issue because I don't have the confidence that he would be able to diagnose it much less treat it. While I am sure Dr Lawson means the best, his medical knowledge seems to be lacking and to a lesser extent his interpersonal skills. While it pains me to write this negatively about any doctor, patients deserve better. We deserve a doctor who will listen, run appropriate tests and be able to comprehend them, and work in partnership with their patients to improve their health.

I should have read the reviews before accepting to be seen by Dr. Lawson. He was the only Dr. available to see me and I really wanted to see one. But mannn, I should have waited another day. Just wasted money and valuable time with some who has no clue of what he was doing and saying. He is a total a*** he really does not care about his patients at all. I told him the symptoms I was having, I had an idea of what was going on with me and what needed to be done to help me but Dr. TL blew me off altogether and did not consider sending me to a specialist or prescribe me something. When I asked him what can I do to improve my condition, he said "you want to improve your condition?" what an idiot, condescending jerk. He does not listen; I think he loves listening to himself talk. I know he misdiagnosed me big time. He blew me off when I asked him important questions. Please, please, please if the receptionist tells you that Doc TL will be seen you, say "no, can I have someone… else?" Mountain View Medical Group please fire him, he is useless to the practice. He will ruining your reputation.

Very rude, dismmisive, and condesending. He said "I don't I time to talk about your other medical problems if it not on the sheet.". He didn't want to take the time to listen. He didn't give me eye contact at all when he was talking to me. Looked up from his computer once in the 20 minutes of interaction. I cancelled my follow up appointment. I would not recommend him. If I could give him a -1 stats, I would.

I've been visiting Ted for quite a long time, actually he has been my Gen Prac since I was a teenager. Every time I visit him he seems aloof and blows me off. Every single problem from bronchitis to things I need not mention, he does not listen to me and ironically I end up getting better treatment from twenty year olds working at urgent care. I really don't know why this guy joined the medical field or how his office turns a blind eye to his poor performance.

I'm 55 and have been seeing Dr. Lawson for several years and he's always professional and courteous. I have a good relationship with him because we're about the same age and both are physically active so we can relate when it comes to age-related medical issues. He does seem a little rushed at times but I think that's just the nature of the business. Keeping good records before visiting can help him (or any doctor) more accurately diagnose an issue.
