I have never in my life met a more terrible medical professional. I was in for a thyroid test, and instead I was humiliated and belittled by this pompous excuse for a doctor. He told me that I was just lazy and that my difficulty losing weight even with a strict diet and exercise was entirely on me and that the only way it would ever work was if I paid for Jenny Craig for the rest of my life. He is obviously prejudiced against overweight patients and enjoys their degradation. I ended my appointment early, because no one should be treated the way that I was by this man. I will never go back into his clinic and and I suggest that everyone else steer clear as well. There are plenty of compassionate doctors who won't ignore my symptoms because of how I look.

Dr, has excellent credentials. He relates in a competent and kindly manner. BUT he is not responsive to requests for contact (by phone or in person). re:initial monitoring of hormones should be done monthly, not every ten weeks!!!!

This is the first time in my life (and I'm 72 years old) that being honest with a doctor has been turned against me. After taking my history, listening to my complaints, and doing a cursory examination, he decided that I had too many symptoms so, therefore, I was "depressed" and looking for things to be wrong with me because I was unhappy about the way I looked. When I showed him my hair loss and my ridged and brittle nails, he smirked. When I told him that a weight gain of 50 lb. in less than 6 months did not seem normal even for a person who had quit smoking, he smirked and told me that anything was possible for a person with a family history of obesity. When I told him that the same people in my family who had obesity were also diagnosed with hypothyroid, he sloughed that off. When I tried to tell him that the obesity was resolved after the hypothyroid was treated and that all of them had normal TSH tests so their thyroid problem was caused by some other imbalance, such as adrenal… or pituitary, he talked over me, sneered, smirked, and kept insisting that I could never lose weight because my family history was against me. As to my borderline diabetes - he started out saying it was borderline but when I pointed out that I had zero syptoms of diabetes, (i.e., polyphagia, polydipsia, polyuria, slow-healing wounds, etc), he suddenly decided that I wasn't borderline diabetic, but only prediabetic despite the fact that my A1c numbers on the computer in front of him didn't magically change. He is arrogant beyond belief and his smirking expression and patronizing manner was so maddening that for the first time in my life I was totally confrontational with a doctor - and I had worked for and with doctors for almost 50 years before my retirement.
