Dr. McRackan has cared for several of my family members and is always so kind. He is attentive to every issue and actually called us after surgery just to check in and see if there were any questions.

Very pleased with the care I have received from Dr. McRacken. Always professional and in a good mood. Great bedside manner. Had excellent outcome from surgery.

I would avoid using this doctor at all costs. My wife has a bone anchored hearing aid on her skull. The abutment site became infected and she went to see Dr. McRackan for the first time as the doctor she had seen at this practice previously wasn't available. MUSC ENT Department is one of the few in the area who install and deal with BAHA issues. She has been in agony for 4 days yet Dr. McRackan refused to provide definitive treatment. He examined her and told her that since you plan on having the abutment removed there is no reason to do anything today. My wife drove almost 2 and a half hours to be treated by this heartless "medical professional". So my wife drives almost 2 and a half hours home in constant pain and will drive 3 and a half hours to in Winston Salem, NC to receive treatment because Dr. McRackan refused to treat her. His nurse told my wife that Dr. McRackan was 2 hours behind on office visits today so maybe this is why he didn't want to take care of her. I was shocked… that after examining my wife's condition Dr. McRackan didn't cut the tissue over the BAHA abutment site as Dr. Lambert did for the exact same condition last year. Instead he sent her home in pain and I can't believe that he would do the same for his wife or other family member. Very unprofessional and heartless care.
