Dr. Theodore Michael Millette, MD

We have had multiple issues with Dr. Millette misdiagnosing our children which resulted in us filing a formal complaint with SRHS. When our first child was born his neck favored to one side resulting from being cramped up for so long inside the womb. My wife has a very petite frame, and the baby literally had no wiggle room. Ultimately all he needed was a few weeks of physical therapy and all was good. Initially Dr. Millette told my wife and I that our newborn baby was "born with half a spine"..... Can you imagine how that news hit us? That our child would never be able to run and play like other kids his age? Second baby comes a few years later and has HORRIBLE acid reflux problems. Poor thing could barely keep any formula down if any. So again.... Dr. Millette misdiagnoses our child and tells us that his stomach is "twisted" and thats why he cant hold anything down. Then proceeds to sends us to Women and Childrens in Mobile to see a specialist. We walk through the door and ask the… general questions about what they are going to be doing with him today, and what paperwork do we need to fill out. He had been scheduled for SURGERY!!! That was the first we had heard anything about the possibility of surgery. We were under the impression that it was an in and out outpatient visit. I talked to the doctor at the specialist office and he said that he would check him out before any decision is made. The specialist comes back and tells us that there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with his stomach and that it looks exactly like a newborns should be. I immediately called Dr. Millettes office and pulled all of our childrens records to bring to a new pediatrician followed by the complaint to SRHS. I would never in a million years recommend this guy to ANY parent.
