Dr. Theodore Mark Morris

I hate to give this place one star because I have gone here since I was a child! I am a recovering addict, long term. We are talking years of sober time. I am actually on a maintenance medication that keeps my addiction in check. I had to have a tooth extracted on Monday. I was given a script for pain medication. I didn’t fill it that day because the pain was manageable. In fact the tooth pain didn’t get bad until 3 days later. I went to fill my script at the pharmacy and they needed the permission of Dr. Morris and my dr who prescribed the other medication in order to fill it. The dr that prescribes my other meds gave the ok, but dr. Morris wouldn’t. Because I was an addict in the past dr. Morris refused to okay the script he already wrote. I work in addiction medicine as a career now and understand how opiates work and how dangerous they are. But, because I was an addict years ago I get treated like I am nothing more than a junkie. I am a human being… who feels pain, I wasn’t asking for another script or a high dose of medication. It hurts not being treated like a person, but rather by a dr.’s completely misinformation about how main medication and opiates work. Very sad. My husband and I will never go back to a place that stigmatizes people because of their past.
