Dr. Theodore F Schlegel, MD

Dr. Schlegel and his team were fantastic during my ACL experience. I tore my ACL completely while skiing, as well as injured the MCL. He got me into surgery about five weeks after the accident, and I worked with Sarah Hoegemeier, a physical therapist on site. My care was fantastic, and I've made a full recovery.

Dr. Schlegel and his staff treated should pain and bicep arthritis. I received a cortisone shot and their office arranged phylical therapy appointments. My pain level has gone down by 80%. I was treated with care and concern and would highly recommend their practice.

Dr. Schlegel and the team at Steadman have done a tremendous job with both of my knees. From the initial diagnosis, surgery, post op treatment to physical therapy the team at Steadman are second to none. Would highly recommend their services to anyone - young/old athlete or someone who has had an injury who wants to return to "normal". This is the team to do it!.

Dr. Schlegel is enormously accomplished and r cognized by several elite orthopedic organizations as one of America’s top sports medical surgeons. His shoulder and knee research is amazing. He is moderate in his approach and does not immediately suggest surgery. In fact for me recommended extensive therapy which worked and was much less harsh on my body than cutting and repairing. He deserves his accolades. Additionally he is really nice.

Dr. Schlegel got me back to where I needed to be! He performed an ACL revision and it was such a seamless recovery. I would recommend him to anyone!

I like this clinic and their physical therapy dept. I’ve used them for multiple injuries. My complaint is two fold: 1. The woman who is his personal assistant and controls his appts is extremely difficult to work with. 2. Dr. Schlegel lets his fellowship students do the initial work up. In other words, it’s hard to get to the doctor if you’re not a professional sports person.

He contributes to the stereotype of surgeons who are arrogant.

I have been on a journey to get my life back. I used to weight close to 600 pounds. I started to eat right and exercise. Needless to say, a person with weight on their joints is going to have a few problems along the way. I have lost 335 pounds, have had foot issues, a knee issue and now a shoulder problem. *I* would not go anywhere else. They have kept me moving, and kept my goals in check.

I went to Dr. Schlegel's office and had a great experience. I was initially seen by his PA, Nate, who took a thorough history and exam. Dr. Schlegel then came in after that and provided a fresh perspective on my chronic problem. So far, so good in my treatment for my chronic knee pain. This was my second opinion, wish it would've been my first! I highly recommend Dr. Schlegel.

Dr. Schlegel is the best surgeon I have ever seen. I had extreme pain in my shoulder and he was able to diagnose the problem right away. He spent a lot of time with me describing the problem and how the surgery would been done. The surgery was successful and I am able swim again with no pain. Dr. Schlegel has an amazing practice, from the front office to the rehabilitation room. Every aspect of my care was handled with total professionalism. I can see why he is the main doctor for the Broncos.
