Dr. Theodore R Sunder, MD

We took out 3-year-old to see Dr. Sunder. Our son had been having seizures and was referred to Dr. Sunder. His office staff was courteous and helpful, we did not wait long in the waiting room, or in the exam room. He was very friendly (and entertaining) to our son, made him feel at ease. All of our questions were answered to our satisfaction. Our son had to be admitted to the hospital, and Dr. Sunder followed up on all the tests; again, answering our many questions patiently and competently. Having read some of the bad reviews here we were a bit nervous, we needn't have been. Dr. Sunder was to the point, not a "gabber" which may put some off, but very professional and courteous--no regrets!

Absolutely the WORST specialist I have ever dealt with in my life! Treated my daughter like a piece of meat, did not even bother to sit down and talk to us after he examined our daughter and laughed about her in her crictical condition. NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR; GO TO CARLE CLINIC!!!!!!!

Dr. Sunder has been a lifesaver and until we started seeing him our grandaughter continued having seizures. She occassionally has breakthrough seizures that have been mostly attributed to growth spurts. He is very thorough and if you ask the questions he always answers and speaks to the patient, as they are the person living with the illness. As a curious child she often asks him many questions, will I always have these, when can I stop taking medication and why do I have these? He has always answered all questions directly to her and in a manner for her to understand.

I was told Sunder's specialty was seizures. He did not and would not look at the EEG. He was more concerned about was why a second EEG done rather than what it showed. During the consultation, he became argumentative and belittling to me and my child. We went to see Dr. Sunder to have our child's medication adjusted. We know what "quality" care is and are fortunate our child is currently receiving it elsewhere. My child's pediatrician no longer returns calls after our Sunder visit. I too want to know what he wrote in our report about my child and I.

We had never been to a specialist with my son before (19 months old) so I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Sunder made him feel so at ease, better than any pediatricians we have seen. I cannot recommend him enough. I can actually say I was shocked by how well he treated my son when we were there. Most other doctors speak more to the parents and rarely acknowledge the child. The way he was testing my son made my son feel like they were playing.

Sunder was supposed to be the "miracle dr". All he did at the consultation was assume what kind of person I am, yelled at me; did the report full of inaccurate information; and he must've "labeled me". After his report, my son's dr refused to see him for the first time "because they didn't want to catch his germs". He needs to see a dr now, but I'm scared to do so.
