Dr Theophilus Vincent Addo

I've been seeing a specialist at Mass General hospital for traumatic brain injury. The specialist there has ordered some testing Dr Addo has been extremely uncooperative in coordinating some of these orders. I'm out on disability as a result of this brain injury. My funds are limited. It's a $50 day trip into Boston which creates a hardship on me. Moreover, I see four other doctors at Hawthorne medical. Some of these tests are Jermaine to My overall chart. I came to Hawthorne medical so my records would be in one place and easily accessed by other clinicians. My understanding of a primary care physician is that he is supposed to help coordinate some of tributary services that are indicative of this very serious condition. I just received some alarming cholesterol labs . The specialist at Mass general ordered an ultrasound of my carotid artery. Having this testing done at Hawthorne medical would ensure that my cardiologist at Hawthorne would have access to that information in my chart.… When I brought the order to his assistant today she said she's not sure if the doctor would be ordering it for me. Stating "he has a certain way of doing things" that's all well and good but these are life-threatening conditions I'm dealing with. I need a team player who is going to assist me in my overall healthcare. So far, Dr Addo it's not on my team. During one of my last visits I showed up 20 minutes early. His assistant, brought me to a room took my vitals and I waited there for the doctor. Dr Addo chastise me for showing up too early. As if it was my fault that is assistant took the initiative and check me in. I've been begging Hawthorne medical patient advocate staff to assign me a new primary Care. They tell me the wait list is incredibly long. I would not recommend this doctor.

This man is a bad doctor in my oppinion He told me a blood pressure of 160/86 is normal, among other untrue things.Even the nurse disagreed about the bloop pressure. Stay away!

Not only is Dr. Addo a fine doctor, he is also a good man who genuinely cares about his patient. I’d recommend him to everyone.

I chaged my doctor l don't want Dr Addo any more, because on my last visit l had , l told him that l had a problem on my feet and he only said that the appointment was done and on the next time he could see it. Crazy and l paid for the appointment.

I always have a great experience in this Doctor office.the girls they are friendly and knowledgeable. The he is always very respectable and listen to all my needs. I never had a bad experience wirh him or his wife. I did many walk in and I always was able to see the doctor.

This doctor has been my primary care doctor for almost six years. I started going to him because I was ill, and needed to see a doctor right away (my doctor at the time was out of town). I was seen on short notice, and I liked his approach. He is very careful, meticulous, and matter-of-fact. I decided to make him my primary care doctor. Working at a walk-in facility means that his schedule sometimes gets disrupted, leading to delays, but he makes an effort to keep things moving. I feel comfortable asking questions about diagnoses, medications, tests, etc. He will give short explanations, but is not condescending and is not put off by follow-up questions. I feel that he respects me as a patient; he does not talk down to me. He encourages me to be an active partner in managing my health. I don't always agree with his treatment approaches initially, but I feel he is open to explaining his reasoning and discussing alternative approaches. As a result of such discussions, we arrive at a… treatment plan that I am comfortable with. I feel that he does a great job of managing my long-term health conditions (asthma, hypertension, and back spasms) as well as my short-term issues. To sum up, I am quite impressed with him as an MD (even though I am generally skeptical of doctors). I hope to retain him as my primary care doctor for years to come.
