Dr. Theresa Ann Benchoff, MD

Such a sweet and informative doctor. I enjoy going to her.

This office is completely incompetent. They totally overbook so that there is no reasonable opportunity to be see. Staff, specifically Cecillia, is expecially unhelpful and unapologetic who love's to use the phrase "there's nothing we can do" and "you need to contact your insurance provider to recommend a different doctor." Totally unacceptable and will be reporting this office on as many forums as possible. Avoid at all costs!!

I've been going to this office for almost a decade, experiencing lackluster care but not knowing where else to go, but finally left after my last visit with Dr Benchoff. I was informed that, in my 40s, I should no longer expect to feel healthy or be able to digest most food groups (seriously?!). When I questioned this I was informed that that was what her other patients told her. If I wanted a crowdsourced listing of laypeople's ailments, I'd hit up Google, not go to a doctor. She also stated that she would only deal with one symptom per office visit, and I would have to make another appointment if I wanted to discuss another symptom (not separate conditions, mind you--symptoms. Like a headache and a cough. Like these things never occur in the same disease.) Dr. Benchoff seems wholly uninterested in providing actual medical care and just seems to want to move you along to collect whatever pittance your insurance pays out. I saw Dr. Benchoff many times and each time left with my… medical issue unaddressed or, at best, poorly addressed. I am looking for another doctor. I do not recommend any doctor at the Premier Primary Care Arlington office.

She doesn't seem to have any interest in maintaining the health of the patient. She took over my care when another partner left the practice. For what my insurance was charged for a physical I would expect more than just listening to my lungs and checking my cholesterol, but that's all I got. A prescription I have been taking for 3 years is no longer covered by my insurance. I told her today and she made no effort to find a replacement, even though it's a necessary prescription. It appears she is in the job for a paycheck, but she sure as heck isn't concerned about the well being of the patient. After 4 years at Primary Care Physicians I am taking my business elsewhere.
