Cataract surgery went smoothly. Dr. Clayton is friendly and has a wonderful staff.

Ms Clayton's listening skills seem to be almost completely absent. I was hobbling to the exam chair and mentioned my back was sore. She asked why; I made a brief statement as to why then she went on a tagent on how her back gets sore and that is what has happened to me. I tried to corrrect her but she did not appear to notice or care. On a professional basis she told me why my current glasses do not work for me despite the fact I started that mostly they work great but for one exception .... she went on and on ignoring the information I have her with what would work better despite the fact it would be the opposite of what would help.

Dr Clayton is extremely skilled in her profession. She’s also very compassionate and supportive. She listened to my concerns and took the time to explain my procedure. I highly recommend her and trust her.

I am really surprised by all of these positive reviews from this clinic. I wish I had read some of the negative reviews before scheduling an appointment at this place. I needed to see someone right away, so I did not have much choice in the matter. My appointment was with Dr. Clayton. I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes early. It was the only ophthalmologist place that had an appointment that wasn't 2 months out. Now I know why. I had a horrible experience at this place. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and felt less engaged with a doctor. I am still at a loss for words about how poorly I was treated. I can't imagine I have been the only person who has been treated bad at this clinic. The doctor was over 1 hour and 15 minutes late. The second Dr. Clayton walked in she displayed horrible bedside manners and was not focused on me, her patient, but instead on what she was going to do next. She barked at me the moment she entered. With a grumpy tone, she… asked if I had ever been seen at this clinic before, at which point I answered no. She then proceeded to snap and tell her assistant that was there to take notes, why they scheduled that "type of appointment" for me. She told her to get to the bottom of it. She never, ever made eye contact throughout the short visit. This woman is not in there to help people, she is in there to see as many patients as she can. The entire visit lasted 3-5 minutes. She was in a rush to get out of the room after a couple of minutes. It was obvious that the clinic quadruple books appointments and does not value or respect patient's time. Not once did she ask me what I was in there for. I had to slow her down because after a couple minutes, she opened the door and was ready to leave. She was very condescending and talked down to me on numerous occasions. She didn't speak to me, she barked at me. This doctor was extremely unpleasant and that is putting it nicely. At one point I mentioned that I had been waiting for over 1 hr and 15 minutes, her response was, "Mondays are very busy for us". There was absolutely no apology or anything like that. Well guess what, they are for me as well. If I showed up late to my appointment, I wouldn't be able to see anyone and I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Do yourself a favor and do not ever schedule appointment at this clinic. I paid a lot of money for my visit and none of my concerns were addressed. I am going to have to spend more money to get the proper care at another place. I am very, very upset.

Doctor Clayton was an hour late for my eye appointment. She was rude and treated me harshly because according to her, "I was not seen here previously, therefore she cannot help me much". Yes, she can't help any patient seeing them only for 2 minutes and then walking out. I am never coming back to her and leaving a google review of her practice. Simply horrible!

An awesome Doctor! She knows her stuff and exudes confidence in all she does. So happy to have been the recipient of her many years of experience.

I have been very satisfied with the quality of the care that I have received from Dr. Clayton and the procedures that she has performed on my eyes.

I have been a patient for a number of years and have always been exceedingly satisfied with Dr. Clayton's ministries. This was especially the case when she advised that I contact a focused specialist for additional insight into an ocular situation I was experiencing. What can be more assuring than a physician who appreciates her strengths and those of her colleagues who can be of value to one of her patients?

I am a patient person, but I have waited anywhere from 45 to 60 minutes routinely for exams with Dr Clayton. I don't have time to wait that long. Besides the long waits, but I just wrote by final letter attempting to resolve billing matters between Vancouver Eye Care and my insurance company. Dr Clayton must make more $$$ by billing the insurance as a 'medical issue' instead of a 'routine exam'. My insurance pays 100% for routine annual eye exams. However, Clayton does not bill it as a routine exam. She bills it as a 'medical issue'. The result is the insurance pays zero (goes against deductible). I would not recommend Dr Clayton or Vancouver Eye Care.
