Good morning, Dr. DiSandro, As I reflect on this journey, I find myself filled with gratitude—and much of that is because of you. I’ve come to accept the challenges with peace, but I wouldn’t have made it this far without your steady hand, your incredible compassion, and your unwavering support. You’ve been more than a doctor—you’ve been a lifeline. In the moments when I felt weakest, your kindness gave me strength. When fear crept in, your calm reassured me. When hope seemed far away, you helped me find it again. I’ve decided to stop focusing on what I’ve lost and instead treasure what I’ve gained. I can eat solid food again. I’ve gained a little weight. I’m slowly rebuilding muscle. But more than that, I’m beginning to feel like myself again. That progress may seem small from the outside—but to me, it’s everything. And you made it possible. I don’t recommend this doctor at all, I feel like the reviews aren’t accurate. I seen this doctor a couple weeks ago virtually, because I was dizzy and weak from not eating so I was barely able to sit up, walk or anything. When I got on the call I had said my partner drove me an hour away to go to a 4.5 rated hospital, which was the highest rated in NJ, I drove that far because I’ve had horrible experiences at the hospitals near me, I was in my wheelchair the whole time but the doctor had the nerve to tell me “you could drive an hour away but not go 20 mins to make it to an in person doctor visit?” I told her yes I have been dizzy and I was laying down the whole car ride, she still was SUPER judgemental of the fact I wanted to go to a good hospital to receive a better level of care. Not only that but she told me to stick my tongue out then diagnosed me with oral thrush, I had told her my tongue is white because I haven’t been able to eat in 2 weeks and haven’t been drinking water, she… said no it’s oral thrush, how can she tell if she didn’t do a test in person? I told her my tongue has been white since I was 14 years old, her response was “well then you’ve had oral thrush for a long time” knowing that oral thrush leads to sepsis and I would have been dead already if I had it! She then told me telehealth is only for patients who have covid and that I shouldn’t have done one, but the reason I came in was bc I wasn’t able to eat for 2 weeks due to severe nausea and lack of appetite, Not only did this women insult me but she also misdiagnosed me, i will never be talking to or seeing this doctor ever again she’s super judgemental save yourself the time and see a different GI doctor who knows what their talking about.

She is a very kind, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.
