in North Carolina. Following four years of service in the United
States Air Force, she attended the University of North Carolina
School of Dentistry, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she
earned her D.D.S. degree in 1996.
Dr. Shannon then returned home to the Washington
metro area and did a general practice residency at Prince George’s
Hospital in Maryland. During her residency, she gained extensive
experience treating children. Dr. Shannon began working with
Phass Family Dentistry in 1998 and treats many of the children
in the practice.
Dr. Shannon is a member of the American Dental Association, the
Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society,
and the Academy of General Dentistry.
