Dr. Theresa Marie Yonker, MD

I've dealt with severe depression since I was a teenager and have seen many, many docs over the years. When I re-located to this area I found Dr. Yonker by sheer luck, and she is by far the best person who has ever treated me. She handles my meds and therapy with tremendous care and attention, and her brilliant mind, uncanny insights, and compassionate heart combine to create a place of safety and growth. She has helped me work through a painful divorce, addiction, and now mid-life with a difficult aging parent--all things that sent me into crisis mode. She is a true gem.

I can't even begin to describe what a godsend Dr. Yonker has been for my family. She has gone above and beyond any other doctor to care for my kids; including coming in for emergency sessions and spending hours of her own time reaching out to other doctors when as a parent I couldn't. Sessions are catered for the parents OR the kids, and her experience and deep level of care is always apparent. I would pay any amount of money to make sure my daughters are happy and healthy and Dr. Yonker will take the time to make sure things are on the up-and-up.

Dr. Yonker is considered a gift from God in our eyes. We have a daughter who has struggled with sensory processing disorder and ADHD her whole life. We wanted to find a doctor who would appreciate our want to treat our daughter holistically and not medicate her at four years old. Doctor Yonker's caring attitude and professionalism is second to none. She has treated our family like family and I know that my daughter is receiving the best psychiatric care we could ask for. It is for these reasons, and many more, that we have traveled an hour and 15 minutes each way once a week for two years so that our daughter could receive neurofeedback treatments. With neurofeedback and dietary recommendations made by Dr. Yonker my child has made tremendous emotional, academic and behavioral changes. We are ever grateful for our time with Dr. Yonker.
