I started seeing Dr. Nguyen back in 2010. When I first started seeing him, he was nice and not particularly superior acting, not fantastic either, but seemed to pay enough attention to my concerns. I have allergies to most medications, so expect my family physician to handle every prescription I am prescribed to avoid any conflicting results. I had a dental procedure and needed an antibiotic. When I spoke to the prescription staff, they couldn't remember or find what antibiotic I was able to take, for two days. Never calling me back, I had to continuously call and ask if they had found the records or not. Shortly thereafter, I was having back problems and went in to see the Dr. I had kept a journal, he actually physically laughed when he saw the journal, and asked, "you're keeping a record?" Yes! I think it's smart when something is going on, that disturbs your life, to keep a record of how you reacted each day, especially when the pain is so bad that you cannot manage your… life's duties. To come in and see my doctor, an hour away, and be laughed at, then they didn't even do a blood test to see if I had any elevated kidney function, nothing. They did however charge me $85.00 more than they did for the same procedure the year before. When I asked why it was so much more, the office manager came from the back and was going to argue with me that the price was the same. I explained I had pulled the file that morning to make sure I had adequate cash to pay upon arrival, and that I wasn't going to argue, that It made no sense to me to pay more and they didn't even do a blood test. Her attitude was shameful, especially in a "professional" setting. He did give me an order for an ultrasound and a back x-ray. Together on the same piece of paper, which the imaging clinic could not accept as they had to retain the original and could not fulfill both procedures. I called for over a month to get that prescription changed from two on the same sheet to separated prescriptions so I could get the test done. All the while, debating each day whether or not to go to ER because I hurt so bad and was so afraid something serious was going on. He never even called me, he did however have his nurse call me, to let me know that they were cancelling my prescriptions for pain medications. When I asked why, she said because I called too early for my prescription. When I had never called at all, I had my prescription written by the doctor. She didn't even understand that the prescription I was talking about needing replaced was the one for the imaging. After a month of calling and leaving messages that were never returned. Finally I got so upset the imaging place called and then a boy named Chris called me back. He has common sense at least. He immediately got the prescription fixed and sent, and within 2 days I had completed the imaging. I called for 3 weeks to get the results from Dr. Nguyen, and he left a very vague message when he did call, at an odd time of day, that didn't explain anything, then he said I needed to go to a pain specialist, but gave me no referral. It's a horrible feeling to be treated like a drug addict or a depression case because your hurting and feeling bad, and to be treated that way by your doctor. I have no drug abuse history, nor mental health. Nothing!!! I am a 40 year old mother of 6, and my body has been through the mill. Dr. Nguyen would give me whatever antidepressants I'd take, and look at me like I had lost my mind when I would refuse them. I don't like to be cloudy, I don't like medications or their effects. All I can say is it is a horrible feeling to trust your doctor with your life, and to have them be disrespectful towards you, dismiss you, not listen, have a rude despicable staff that could care less how you feel, but spend loads of time trying to make personal issues out of their lack of ability to correctly do their jobs.
I have since found another doctor, one that is much closer to my home, and he actually listens to me and has worked to find out what is wrong with me. I had an MRI done to my back and have some very serious issues that were grossly overlooked at Rosewood. I dare say, if my situation would have been life threatening, I'd have died here. My new doctor has me taking Lyrica, and it has changed my life. I sleep at night, and I feel better when I wake up each morning. I don't cry while I cook breakfast for my kids anymore because I don't feel like someone is stomping on my pelvis. Dr. Nguyen doesn't care one way or the other how you really feel. And that's a fact. And neither do those rude people that work in that office. They are all deplorable and I'm tired of not saying the truth. You people are there to serve your patients. You should be kind when someone calls, not hateful, like you're being bothered. You should return calls, return results...pay attention, be kind, it'll go a long way. It's scary to be hurting and not know why, you should be ashamed of yourself.
