Dr. Thomas Sean Ahern, MD

Dr. Ahern is the first and only doctor I have ever had that listened intently, respected my opinions and valued them, and always spends as long as it takes to make me feel good about the treatment plan. Not only is he the most intelligent cardiologist I’ve ever encountered, but he continues to do research and educate others on rare and unknown autoimmune and cardiovascular issues. He is the definition of above and beyond. The balance of empathy and his ability to be straightforward and not undermine you is extremely impressive. I have seen hundreds of doctors and I can hands down say he is the best doctor I have ever had, and the reason I have my diagnosis today. He is amazing.

Dr. Ahern listens and respects the intelligence of his patients. He is willing to personalize treatment plans, is patient, and does not give up easily. He is a doctor I see for dysautonomia (autonomic nervous system dysfunction) who can both diagnose and treat this condition. He does have a lot of patients with dysautonomia and other conditions, so he is busy. Thus, expect an average wait of about a week and a half or so to get in and have an emergency plan for care as needed, as emergency care is not his regular focus. But for maintenance, creativity, respect for patients and helping us all be involved in and aware of our care, you can't go wrong with Dr. Ahern!
