Dr. Thomas Gabriel Ahn, MD

The most amazing thing that I have experienced with Dr. Ahn as my doctor, is his determination to get to the root of the problem. This guy never stops looking for the answer. I completely believe that his energy, persistence, and attention to detail has made my life functional and even more so these days, productive. After several surgeries and being in a wheelchair with really low energy, I am now walking most the time and have all my numbers under control with the help of three years of trying many medications, exercises, and nutritional options. I cannot thank Dr. Ahn enough. Yes, sometimes he is busy in his thoughts, but I have learned that he will go to bat for his patients if they are really in need. That's pretty much my main concern. He has been available, polite, and extremely prompt with me for the past 6 years.

Over the years, after having a total thyroidectomy & cancer, I have been to a number of endocrinologists only to constantly be disappointed. I have been in Dr. Ahn's care for the past 4 years and have to say he is absolutely wonderful. He keeps my thyroid levels right where they need to be. I feel like he cares about my well-being and always listens to my concerns. His response time is excellent whenever I have called for anything. He and his office staff are professional and friendly. I am never made to wait when I have a scheduled appointment. I recommend him highly!

Dr. Ahn was my doctor for years. I always thought of him as a pretty good doctor that was always able to fit me in and even better was his willingness to call a prescription in for me without always having to see me. What I realized once I was actually sick and needed some real attention is that he has none to give. His bedside manner is not the best and he lacks any real sympathy. He took multiple personal calls during my appt and even got into an argument with his significant other during mid exam and once in the middle he left the room to talk to his auto body guy. Nothing is more soothing than being basically naked and having your doctor keep taking his cell phone calls. I was really disappointed that after years of having him as my doctor that the one time I really needed him to be my doctor he failed. I won't be going back.
