Dr. Thomas Michael Annulis, MD

Dr. Annulis treated me as a patient while at Calvert Health Medical Center. I felt he was professional, kind and answered all of my questions and concerns. I would not hesitate to see him again.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. He was quite rude and seemed to be a total know it all. I regularly check reviews on doctors and the reviews on this site about this doctor are consistent with my encounter.

I had a very poor encounter with the Dr. He was not professional and did not want to spend any time talking with me. He wanted to complete his time with me, issue and diagnosis and move on. I did not feel that he cared about my thoughts or health at all. I was disappointed and would not recommend him.

Dr. Annulis should not be a doctor, he should see one. His behaviour towards me was arrogant and rude. He did not have any interest to listen to me and wanted to make a diagnosis before he even heard my point of view. He clearly has some sort of personal issues. There are many better doctors and I haven't had such a bad experience before. Truly a sad example for the medical profession. Hope you don't need to see him.

Dr. Annulis is cleary a doctor who does not have his patients interests in mind. He appears very entitled and does not listen. The overall ratings on this site confirm my experience with Dr. Annulis. Very poor experience and I would NOT recommend him. Try and find another doctor!

I saw Dr. Annulis in Prince Frederick, Md. He was courteous to me and pleasant. I had a wound that persisted for over 4 months. He prescribed an ointment that healed the wound in 2 weeks. I had seen my internist multiple times and tried multiple ointments and an oral antibiotic before I was referred to Dr. Annulis. Thanks to Dr. Annulis for knowing what to use to fix my problem.

This doctor is a nutcase. He is rude, arrogant ,and ignores any attempt or conversation or medical questions I had.

After waiting to meet my hospitalist for over 18 hours, during a recent in patient stay at a local hospital where Dr. Annulis works; I was appalled by his arrogance and lack of professionalism. Within the first two minutes of meeting me, he offended me by calling into question the hiring practices of my cardiologist, who happens to be Chief of Cardiolgy and one of the finest men I have ever known. When I let him know he had offended me he rapidly began to back peddle, even trying to deny that he had made any negative comments. At one point he said I had lied about what he said. On mote than one occasion he gave me a medication that I am allergic to. As a result my blood pressure dropped to 50/35. Yet he made no attempt to admit me to the ICU. When I had a chance to meet with my Cardiologist, I told him what Dr Annulis had said. To my shock, within minutes he was in my room with a nurse along with him, not to apologize, but to say that I had lied about the comments he made. Anytime I… tried to ask a question or try to make a point he became angry that I was interrupting him. It was clear that he was in my room to try to intimate me. At one point he closed the door to my room and became aggressive in both tone, and manner. My boyfriend was there to pick me up, and at one point took several steps toward him, in what could only be described as an aggressive posture. After 45 minutes of being berated by this man, I asked him to please write my discharge papers so that I could go home. He still continued to complain that I had offended him. Shakespeare's phrase " Me thinks thou doth protest too much! I was also offended by the fact that he knew nothing of my level of education, and treated me like a child. I have several degrees including one in the area of law. He even went so far as to put his hand up to stop me from trying to ask a question, once again causing me of interrupting him. It was clear that he was more concerned with his feelings than my medical condition. It was almost midnight before I was finally able to leave the hospital, and my chest pains, from the stress Dr Annulis put me through could begin to ease. This man should not have a medical license in my opinion, and should not be given the chance to put any one other lives at risk, the way he did mine. I would strongly urge this hospital to get rid of this doctor, as soon as possible. Having read several of the other comments on this sight, it is clear that he is a repeat offender in every area I have listed! Dr. Annulis, you can be sure of one thing; This matter is not settled yet!

I was Dr. Annulis's patient when he was in Silver Spring. This guy likes to hear himself talk and not listen. I found his demeanor superficial and on several occasions very condescending. He also liked to push medications. Over the course of two visits, he persuaded me to take an anitdepressant called Lexapro. I had heard about the side effects and didn't want it. After he continued to encourage me, I gave it a try. After six days, the drug made me feel crazy, and I stopped taking it. However, the withdrawal from only taking it six days was everlasting. I had occasional tingling in my left ear for about a year afterwards. Given that he abruptly left town for southern MD and I was getting ready to move myself, I was in a tough spot regarding getting a rewrite for my Propecia perscription, which he had prescribed. I called his office. When I was road blocked by his office staf, I asked for him. When he came to the phone, he sounded very, very angry. Not only was he not willing to help,… but he was extremely rude about it. He talked over me and yelled at me on the phone. I had to hang up on him. After I calmed down, I attempted to call back several time and tell him I didn't appreciate the way I was treated, but no one answered the phone. No one answered until I called back using a cell phone with a different phone number. I see he's moved again. This guys seems to have a habit of abandoning practices, picking up, and moving. I think this is the third move in five years. Somethign else disturbing happened when they first moved to Lexington Park. They apparently used Southern Maryland forum to plug their business and create a buzz, acting like they were a resident who was asking about the new practice. When I shared my experience about this doctor, I suddenly got attacked and was told I was mentally ill by all these people. The whole thing seemed suspect to me, and I think it was people from the practice responding to my post (I mean, why would John Doe care so much because I had a bad experience with a doctor.) If this truly was the case, then I'm really concerned with this guy's moral and ethical aptitude.

My experience as a patient of Dr. Annulis was truly disturbing. He is possibly the most arrogant man I have ever met. I came to him with a positive attitude and tried to express my concern for some serious symptoms I had been having. He totally dismissed me and continually talked over me. He acted indifferent and unconcerned. It was a complete waste of a day. I had to use leave for this visit. I would not recommend this doctor at all. I really don't understand someone talking over you when you are trying to voice concerns in a mannerly way. Shame on you Dr. Annulis. Also shame on you for bad-mouthing a local physician and colleague. It was totally unsolicited. You were very rude and unprofessional to do this. Again: Shame on you! Thank God I found a doctor who listened to me. He knew exactly what was wrong and started treatment. I am already doing much better...
