Dr. Thomas Joseph Barrett, MD

Even though I was the perfect candidate for a VBAC, he "doesn't do" VBACS. "There's a 1% chance of your uterus rupturing and why would you choose to leave your children motherless?" VBACS have been done safely for decades. I had a repeat C-section that wasn't medically necessary. He put in my chart that it was medically necessary due to having a previous C-section (several years prior). I was unable to be a surrogate because of this documented "medically necessary" 2nd C-section. My care was traumatic and I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

Dr Barrett delivered both of my children (17 and 19 years ago) as well as performed multiple preceedures. One of THE BEST providers I've seen in my almost 40 years (OB/GYN or otherwise)!

I started seeing Dr. Barrett as a patient when I was 18 yrs of age. And I am close to age 50 now. He has a way to make you feel comfortable in talking to him, or going through the annual exam, or medical issues you may have. He is a sweetheart.

I've been seeing Dr. Barrett for 30 years. He delivered two of my three children. He has been kind, gentle and caring through all of my pregnancies and in more recent years through my cancer journey. He can't recommend him enough.

Dr.Barrett is rude and does not have compassion. He could benefit from a training course on feelings.

Dr. Barrett has been my doctor for about 17 years. I recently had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. As a result of a procedure, I had some complications and went through a traumatic aftermath. We realize that it was nothing he did wrong, it was just something that happened. He was genuinely concerned and expressed every effort to help my husband and I through the process. He called me daily until I was able to see him in his office and once I was there he made me a top priority in spite of his busy patient schedule for the day. He is compassionate, experienced, and approachable. We love him and I really hope that he is the Dr. that will one day deliver our baby.

I am pregnant with my 4th child and have seen Dr. Barrett for all of my pregnancies. He is fantastic, I would reccommend him to anyone, and I have. He really does care about his patients and makes sure that they are well taken care of and they are with him.

Dr Barrett is kind and considerate and has an excellent manner about him. He ALWAYS tells you the procedure before he does anything. You know just waht to expect and he also asks about your mental state in addition to physical state. He cares about your overll health and never rushes you. I dont know how hw stays on schedule, but i rarely wait at the office. He actually found my Thyroid problem when my PCP had missed it a month prior. Dr Barrett delivered my first baby 18 years ago and I still travel 45 minutes out of my way every year, just because he is soooo good! I highly recommend him.
