Dr. Bey saved my Life! Never have I met or had an interaction with a Doctor like the experience I have had with Dr. Bey. Dr. Bey was honest and forthright with all information concerning my dire situation. He explained very thoroughly the procedure he would perform on me and he completed it with such professionalism. Dr. Bey was very caring and communicated everything clearly so as to make sure my wife and I understood what was going to occur during my procedure, that he and his staff performed, with such precision. I hold this man and his staff in the highest of regard. I have been given a second chance at life by the Grace of God through this Doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. T. Bey to anyone. In this world of today you will never find a more down to earth doctor that will truly care for you and does care about what he does and is extremely good at what he does. Dr. Bey treated me for an ongoing problem requiring multiple procedures and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. At my very first visit he told me he treats all of his patients like he would want his loved ones to be treated and he has proven his word on this. Thanks to Dr. Bey I am now pain free.

I love Doctors that will be direct with me and confident in their diagnosis. Dr. Bey does not mess around, he will tell you flat out if he saved you once the rest is on you. If you go back to poor habits that put you into poor health, he will not help you again. Fair enough to me! If you give me a new life, I'm going to do my best to not get back to that place again.

This Doctor impressed me as an arrogant, narcissistic, and complacent braggart who has little regard for his patients. Dr. Thomas M. Bey performed a thoracentesis on my left lung on Sept. 06, 2018, at Mercy Hospital, Redding CA. He came to me directly from performing an earlier complex emergency procedure, and he appeared to be somewhat stressed. Dr. Bey was training a Resident MD as he performed this procedure, and he complained long and loudly to the Resident MD that he was “the only Dr. at Mercy Hospital” that could do this particular procedure. He went on to brag that he had performed this procedure over 30,000 times. My impression was that he was performing for the Hospital staff, and that I, the patient, was an afterthought. He failed to anesthetize the area and caused me severe and intense pain as he inserted the device into my lung, yet he had the audacity to chastise me for “bearing down” as he raked a needle across bone and nerve. I continued to experience significant pain… during the entire procedure, and intense pain once again as he withdrew the needle. The pain was so intense during recovery that I was helpless. I could not bend over or twist my upper body without suffering excruciating muscle spasms. I was able to walk out of recovery after receiving additional pain medication, and I visited the hospital cafeteria for lunch. Within the hour the pain became so intense that hospital staff observed that I was in great distress and transported me to the emergency room where I remained for the next 8 hours. I recommend that patients avoid this Doctor for all procedures excepting emergency life saving treatment.
