Dr. Thomas Lee Blackstone, MD

This is a wonderful Doctor. He has taken care of my three children, my youngest he took care since the day he was born and now he is 24. Dr.was really great with children, and was really great in his profession. Loved him dearly, one of the best I have ever had to take care of my children.

Dr. Blackstone was recommended to me as the best pediatrician in town by the only pediatric surgeon in the southeast. I had the opportunity to interview the practice prior to choosing (yes, I was a first time mom and a healthcare executive as well....meaning I read all the books and am very demanding of competence, availability and bedside manner!) I have seen Dr. Blackstone for about half of Jack's appointments (both routine and acute) and he makes each visit feel like Jack is visiting with his uncle, a very competent doctor uncle, who is a jokester as well. He is great at distracting Jack with entertainment as he looks in ears, up the nose, in the mouth so that Jack will not be like mom was (hiding beneath the slide so the doctor could not find her for a vaccine). I have visited the Hampstead and Wilmington office frequently. The Hampstead office is my favorite but both offices provide a family feel versus a corporate feel as you walk in while maintinaining professionalism. I… highly recommend Cape Fear Peds and Dr. Blackstone.

he has a way with kids unlike any other. He has always been very sensitive to my girls especially their privacy. He has incite only age and experience can give you .

He's been around a long time. Unfortunately, the other physicians are more concerned about money than they are patient care.

Should have retired a long time ago. Very tempermental and judgemental. Waited over an hour. The front desk person was more interested in telling her co-workers about her weekend than working. I asked to speak to her supervisor...but was refused!

He s a sick man, prescribed me 70mg of concerta at the age of 6 he forced a vaginal exam at a young age to check for abuse at home but I had never felt so violated by a man I didn't want to do the exam and was never offered to see a female doctor.

Dr. Blackstone is extremely caring and knowledgeable. Both of our children have been fortunate to have the benefit of his expertise.
