Thomas J. Blue, DMD
Thomas Blue, DMD grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1974. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1978. He then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he met his wife, Effie, who was also a dental student. They were married in their senior year and graduated together in 1983.
Thomas began practicing dentistry in Brevard County on Florida's east coast in August, 1983. He and Effie opened their current location in March of 1985. After practicing for 25 years, Effie retired from clinical dentistry and now performs office management. Thomas continues to care for the patients in the practice and is very enthusiastic about all of the esthetic changes which have occurred in restoring patients' smiles.
Thomas and Effie have been members of the Brevard County, Florida and American Dental Associations since graduation in 1983.
Dr. Blue's goal for each patient is …to help them achieve optimal dental health and to maintain it for their entire life. All patients are capable of obtaining a wonderful and attractive smile throughout their lifetime.
Thomas is an avid conservationist and serves as a volunteer and President of CFAR, Central Florida Animal Reserve. Both Thomas and Effie have been volunteering with CFAR since 2000. This sanctuary cares for big cats, including 46 lions, tigers, cougars, and leopards which have been rescued from inappropriate living conditions. The sanctuary houses, sustains and protects these wonderful creatures for their entire lives. Other activities and interests include surfing, fishing, weight lifting and hunting.
