Dr. Thomas Richard Bolt, MD

Wow! On my most recent 3 month follow up visit (regular medication refills) by Dr Bolt, I was asked to submit to a drug screening. In the 20 plus years I have been seeing Dr Bolt and the 5 years or so I’ve been needing Adderal and Xanax to function in everyday life, I have to say I was taken aback Dr Bolt asked for a drug screening. This last visit was not any different than the many times I’ve gone for follow ups over the past years. I feel as if my doctor suspects me of using illegal drugs. What other reason would he want a drug screening? I am proud to say that the screening will come up negative. I don’t and never will need to take illegal drugs. I almost feel like a number. He asked me what I did for a living. Even though we have discussed this topic about my business many times over the years. I realize he has hundreds of patients. But he should know be by now I would think. Anymore I am starting to feel uncomfortable going Dr Bolt. I hope things change in the future. I don’t… want to have to change doctors.

His staff is not very good at following up with referral appointments or calling with test results.His front office is good at ignoring patients too.You can count on being in the office an average of 90 minutes or so.

There is normally a 30 to 60 minute wait but in his defense, Dr. Bolt spends an adequate amount of time with each patient sometimes causing his waiting room to back up. His nursing staff is good but his office staff could use some customer service training. I've been treated rudely more than once.
