Dr. Thomas Lane Bradbury, MD

Dr Bradbury did both of my hip replacements - 6 years apart. He is simply the best. I base this off of my recovery and my ability to resume my rigorous activities. He is thorough in his explanations and sets proper expectations regarding the process leading up to surgery, the surgery and the recover. I give him my highest recommendation - EVEN if your plan does not include him, it's worth paying the out of plan difference to get care from a best in class surgeon.

Great on the front end of a hip replacement: pre-op conference and explaining the process. But I woke up during the surgery by the noise and feel of him pounding on my hip trying to remove the hip joint. I felt the pressure as he was stitching me back up. They rushed me out of recovery, insisting that I walk asap. My excruciating pain was only treated after I broke down into tears. My leg felt like it was on fire. Physical Therapy consists of an online app you do on your own. I finally insisted on a live physical therapist at Benchmark and have begun to regain mobility without pain. I'm sure he's a great body mechanic and a nice man. But. This was my experience.

Thomas Bradbury - A full right knee replacement was done by Dr. Bradbury Feb 2017. After surgery, I observed an increased outward cant of my right foot of around ten degrees. I checked this further by sitting in a chair, laying down, walking and standing, which verified the outward cant. I advised Dr. Bradbury of this aberration and though the cant was easily observed, little was said about it. I was told that to correct the cant would require redoing the procedure. Two years since the replacement, the knee is completely healed. The ten degree cant remains along with some knee pain, which occurs when the right foot is placed onto the left knee and mild pressure placed on the right knee. This condition is permanent. The left knee, replaced a year previous by a different surgeon is absent these problems. Dr. Bradbury is no doubt a capable surgeon, though he must have been preoccupied when doing this knee. It is unlikely I would use him if the procedure were to be done again.

Extremely professional and compassionate. Kudos to him and all who assisted.

Dr Bradbury, is a very qualified and compassionate surgeon. He did both hip replacement and he and his staff are great.

I met dr. Bradbury one time before having my procedure done, and he was very informative in regards to how the procedure would be and also the aftermath of the healing process. He came to my room the day after my surgery, and explain to me everything that took place because the day before he knew I was out of it. He explain things very thoroughly and told me but everything went well, and again to discuss the plans for the next four weeks before I would see him again. I had to call the office twice I had a response that day, he is very in touch with his patients in regards to the care that he gives. I was skeptical at first in regards to having the procedure but he insured me it would help with my current hits situation. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a professional thorough doctor. Emory as a group is very impressive.

DR. BRADBURY ASSISTED IN DIAGNOSING MY DETERIORATING HIPS INSTEAD OF SENDING ME INTO THERAPY AGAIN - AFTER SURGERY, I WAS UP AN HOUR LATER AND OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AFTER BOTH SURGERIES. HIS FOLLOWUP IS EXCELLENT AND CALLED ME PERSONALLY AFTER EACH SURGERY ON HIS PERSONAL TIME. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. THOMAS BRADBURY TO ANYONE!

Dr. Bradbury is great a surgeon and a wonderful person. He replaced both of hips over three years. Each time he eased my apprehension about the procedure through his confidence that I was in hands of best who truly cares about his patient and his profession.

Even thought you may have to wait to see him he is well worth waiting for. EXCELLENT Doctor! Diagnosed and fixed my hip troubles when 3 other Ortho's could not do anything to help me.
