Dr. Thomas J Braun, MD

I have never been treated so poorly by a medical "professional" in my life!! For my first appointment he was four and a half hours late, appeared rushed, and kept informing me that there were others much sicker than I was. His staff was like a clown circus and his main nurse had no idea how to start an IV. He spent basically no time with me, brushed off my questions, and dismissed my concerns. I was told of my cancer diagnosis as he was staring at his computer screen and typing. Not even civil eye contact. When told I had obtained a second opinion, I was treated as the redheaded stepchild and basically told to go see them. He has no business as a treatment physician for veterans. It's just a sad statement of the lack of respect and care some government docs feel they can get away with.

Dr. Braun cares for my father at the Denver VA. By that, I mean that he CARES about my father. He is extremely thorough and really takes the time to listen and to explain. We trust his judgment and really appreciate his input and his proactive approach. He is one of the few doctors we've seen who really knows, inside and out, what is going on with my father. This is because he takes the time to know. He does run late, but it is because he takes the time to really look at what is going on and to study test result trends over the years. He is well worth waiting for! I can't emphasize enough what an incredible doctor this man is!!!

Dr. Braun is the most condescending and disrespectful doctor I have ever visited. His personal hygiene is unacceptable and his attitude and inability to listen is harmful to getting appropraite care. Additionally, his diagnosis was not only incorrect, but also contradicted the findings of multiple other more knowledgeable and professional doctors. The VA is negligent in allowing this doctor to practice as they are well aware of his unprofessionalism and refuse to do anything about it. I'd rate all zeros but that's not an option.

No doubt about it. Braun is the best oncologist in Denver!

This guy shouldn't be practicing medicine let alone be an oncologist!He is rude, demeaning, obnoxious and it's clear why he's at the VA - he couldn't possibly be employed anywhere else. Don't go near this guy!
