Dr. Thomas Buckley, MD

My husband was ambulanced to the ER. Dr. Buckley was rude, uncaring, dismissive. Did not listen. Would not contact husband's current doctors & then contacted the one we said *not* to contact. Buckley's care was substandard & he misdiagnosed my husband. Awful, upsetting experience. Never, ever again will we allow him to "care" for us.

There were a couple of mistakes - miscommunications etc and we were there six hours. That was a pain but understandable. What wasn't understandable is Tom Buckley coming in glaring and talking in a rude dismissal manner because we told someone we hadn't seen a doctor yet. We hadn't. The md from the prior shift apparently asked our 15 year old son his medical history and examined him without telling us as we waited around the corner. My son wasn't under the impression he had been examined. So we sat in the room for four hours wondering in the exam room (after 2 in the waiting room) what was happening. And then we get Tom Buckley getting in our face. Could not care less about our son, the obvious bad practice that led to our confusion, just tried to bulldoze in and make us feel dumb when it was he and the department who apparently didn't have a clue. Inexcusable.

Doctor was awful, cold, and abrupt. No bedside manner. Made a terrible situation worse

If you are unlucky enough to wind up in the ER, and further unlucky enough to end up at Emerson's ER, you're last bit of bad luck would be to encounter Dr. Buckley. He ought to have been a vet.
