Dr. Thomas Wayne Butler, MD

He was a very professional doctor that walked with me when i had stage four Hodgkin's lymphoma i give him 7 stars !!

The terrible treatment At this Dr's office started from the getgo! With appointments immediately being changed over and over. After taking the day off and driving over from Mississippi, I was told that I wasn't even on the schedule. I insisted on being seen and was placed with Dr. Butler. I felt pleased with the appointment until the very end when I tried to get it across to him that I couldn't work, couldn't function, etc....like I literally could barely go to the restroom and back. He offered no Dr's excuse for my work place, didn't offer to help with an LOA ,...nothing! He just stared at me and I ended up leaving with the promise of the results back by "Friday at the latest" The nurse called on Thursday to tell me that the results were in and would only reveal to me that my iron count was a 2 (healthy levels are between 60-100.) She told me that Dr. Butler would call me the next day to interpret the results with me and a plan of action. The next day I heard nothing from either dr.… Butler or anyone else in the office until I called late in the day and was told the Dr. Butler was out sick and would call on Monday. Monday rolled around, no call from anyone there. So I finally called. Twice! No one came to the phone, no one called me back. Tuesday, no calls. Wednesday, I finally took matters in my own hands and went to another Dr. I got more in two hours in that office than in two weeks in Dr. Butler's office. I only started getting calls from them when the other Dr's office called for my records. Then they called like 5 times in one day. They lied and said I missed a follow up appointment. I would never go back there again. I was very sick and ended up receiving blood in a local ER instead of getting treatment from them! They will not follow up...They will not come to the phone, they will not call you back, they will not give you treatment!

We love him as a person and a Christian but he failed to perform VITAL tests during the INITIAL diagnosis and isn't up to date on treatment regimen for some cancers. His staff, especially Ashley, is terrible to have to deal with. She is very rude, dishonest, doesn't return calls, lacks compassion and has a very bad attitude. We have enough to deal with than having to deal with her and another nurse named, Megan. We are no longer candidates for the newest treatments and we don't have a CT for comparison due to poor care. We've had to wait for weeks for infusions while Ashley refused to return calls, Dr. Butler didn't submit the orders for the infusions to the clinic and insurance company, etc. so the cancer is just growing! Find a specialist in your specific cancer and educate yourself! I think he knows just enough to be dangerous in my opinion and his staff is awful! Good luck!

My father and I both see dr. Butler, we just love him. I'm thankful I changed oncologists. It's a blessing to have a physician who is a Christian. Dr Butler is very compassionate and caring. He is very informing and explains everything. We need more oncologists like him!
