Dr. Thomas Nordling Butler, MD

I sought care with Dr. Butler on MD Live as somewhat of an urgent appointment. I didn't have high expectations for a virtual provider's appointment but I just needed some help. Dr. Butler was kind and seemed to genuinely listen. He asked me "normal" questions and a little more about why I was feeling how I was. I felt heard. I see him later this week for a follow up appointment so I'm hopeful it will go as well as the first. I also referred a coworker to him that tragically lost her son last month. She went to another psychiatrist that was a bit too intense for her needs and really appreciated Dr. Butler's calm demeanor and felt he was attentive without being assuming of what she went through. We both plan to continue our care with him so that's worth so much to me.

My son is Dr Thomas N Butler patient. I would not recommend him. He has been treating my son over Zoom. He has prescribed medication to my son over their interaction on Zoom. He has never seen my son in person. If he had he might realize my son is in a mental crisis. I can’t say Dr Butler has done anything to help my son.
