Dr. Thomas Chesar Jr, MD

Crazy how someone who never saw Dr.Chesar could leave a review sorry your brother wasn’t seen but the doctor has a family as well. He wasn’t perfect by any means but was someone everyone should look up to I saw him personally leave the hospital and the same day get on his laptop to go help his patients, he cared more about helping anyone than himself he would be in pain and still sit there helping. Think about everything before you say something because Dr.Chesar would be helping you if you needed it still today if he were with us.

My brother was admitted to Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for some rehabilitation following a stroke that he had recently. Dr. Thomas Chesar was my brothers Attending Physician during the TEN DAY period that my brother was a patient at this facility. During this TEN DAY period Dr. Thomas Chesar never visited my brother in person. My brother was never assessed by Dr. Chesar. He did not know anything about my brother other then the information that was sent along with my brother when he was transferred to the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center from the Meadville Hospital. During this TEN DAY period my brother was experiencing some anxiety due to not having seen his doctor, since being admitted, not having a plan of care involving Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy which is critical following a stroke. The nurse on duty this night paged Dr. Thomas Chesar to report the anxiety that my brother was having. I accidentally found… out that Dr. Thomas Chesar had ordered Haldol for my brothers anxiety. My mouth dropped when I found this out. Being a registered nurse that specializes in neurology I know that Haldol is a medication that is highly inappropriate for a patient that just had a stroke. Haldol is also a medication that is inappropriate to give to a patient that has a little anxiety. Halol is a psychiatric medication. My brother requested a transfer out of this facility and away from Dr. Thomas Chesar. He received more therapy in just one day then he received at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. I would never recommend the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center to anyone and I would never, ever recommend Dr. Thomas Chesar to anyone. I had to give some kind of rating here so I rated Dr. Thomas Chesar one star. In all reality I would not of even given Dr. Thomas Chezar this one lone star if it wasn't required.

Dr. Chesar is very thorough addressing all my concerns. He really listens to you and does everything he should for you. He and his staff are pleasant and easy to get along with.

Dr. Chesar is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have been Blessed to have in my life and in my care plan. He listens, he runs required tests, and he is knowledgeable of the professionals he refers patients to for further testing. The only negative aspect to visits with him, is having to deal with his staff. The receptionist and nurse are not always nice and most times I leave his office I have been in tears. But, if you want a thorough physician who listens, is compassionate, and looks out for your best interest, Dr. Chesar is your man.
