Understanding thought processes is vital to mental health stability. Dr. Thomas Clyburn is a licensed mental health counselor working in the mental health field for more than twenty years thus far treating a variety of patients ranging in ages from toddlers to geriatrics. Dr. Clyburn has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Counseling Psychology. Being a male clinician of African-American descent deriving from a multicultural background has provided him with a unique discernment of mental health that goes well beyond the therapeutic setting. His passion is more than just providing therapeutic interventions for the short-term. His passion is to provide therapeutic interventions that persist long-term via cognitive psychological methods and resonate in the home, community, school, and/or workplace. After assessing and identifying the source(s) of the mental health issue(s), establishing goals and practical steps to achieving these goals is pertinent for self-sufficiency …and sustainment. Throughout his career, Dr Clyburn’s treatment interventions for mental health issues have included, but have not been limited to treating ADHD, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, LGBTQ+, and Sexual Predation.
