My whole family has been patients of Dr Coats for over 15 years. We are always taken back by a technician within 15 mins of our appointment time, often right on time. He is thorough and precise with his diagnosis. If testing or referrals are made the staff has helped me organize those, I would trust my eyes to no one else! I will continue to refer my friends and family to Dr Coats!

Dr. Coats performed both of my cataract surgeries. His care, from diagnosis to surgery to follow-up, was unvaryingly professional. He also has tracked my retinal and vitreous issues carefully, stays in touch with my retinovitreous surgeon, and blends a "just right" personal style with a very comforting level of expertise. You will have a hard time finding a better ophthalmologist anywhere.

My visit was very pleasant. The doctor and staff were very nice. The optical shop was inexpensive and had a large selection. It was nice to be able to get my exam, contacts and glasses in one office. I would recommend

My first visit to this facility and I was exceptionally pleased. Dr. Coats had excellent professional manner and answered all of my questions in a technical language I could understand. With amblyopia from birth, he was the FIRST doctor that took the time to see what the "real" corrected vision of an eye that I haven't used in 63 years due to a dominant eye taking over. As a kid, I memorized the eye charts due to the bullying on the school bus and the teasing of kids wearing glasses, calling them "four eyes". With all the headaches and my mother not discovering the problem until after a possible age of correction, it is essential that I protect my sighted eye as my corrected vision is 20/100. I was pleased with all the time he took for the first visit, to not only diagnose and provide an eyeglass prescription, but to also show concern and provide the education re: a senior's aging eyes and associated concerns. I would highly recommend this ophthalmologist to others. … Additionally, this is the FIRST office that stated I could exchange my Davis Vision eyeglasses within 30 days if I was not happy with them. This information was provided by the female representative that patiently assisted me in a selection for eyeglasses, among a possible dozen that were chosen. Driving to this location for the first time, I was not able to locate the facility, so I called for final assistance. The courtesy and accuracy was, again provided so I could arrive in a timely manner for my appointment. As an RN, I would definitely recommend this doctor to others.

Front desk could use some lesson's in friendlyness and acknowledged you're standing there. She just sat and didn't acknowledge me, say hello or say I'll be with you in a moment. Not a good first impression. The doctor was lovely.

Excellent doctor, would recommend him to anyone.
