Very personable, He visited early before procedure and talked me through what to expect and what other possibilities might arise. He was forthcoming and didn't sugarcoat. After procedure was finished, he came in sat down and gave me all the info I needed. He took his time, and his concern showed through our conversations. great Doc... highly recommend

This doc makes fun of his patients when they are not around or as soon as they go under. He doesn’t know what he is doing and is dangerous. Stay away.

I have seen this doctor twice and both times he had time in his schedule that same day for surgery. The first time it was a red flag for me and I went elsewhere. The second time I was in so much pain and he had me believe it was an urgent hernia surgery and told me I would be back to work in a week. I was off work for 3 months after. Couldn't walk, sit or stand very long without pain. It is a year and a half later and pain is still present. Better then 6 months ago but still can't work full time. Had to cut my work hours in half and it's still difficult. I have seen numerous doctors and specialists and mounting bills after this procedure. I followed up with him 5 months later and the only thing he recommended was a pain specialist. I don't do well with pain meds so still trying to heal and get better naturally. Would not recommend hernia repair with this doc and definitely wouldn't let anyone use mesh to fix it if I ever have to have one again.

Nobody would listen to me about my concerns until I met Dr Derrig and then his surgery fixed my problem. Now I am living my life again. I couldn't be happier with the care I received from Dr Derrig

This guy will take forever to forward you to a real hospital when his proceedure goes wrong. If you are looking for a vascular surgen go else where please.

I was able to get an appointment promptly for a procedure. I have seen Dr. Derrig two times for different issues and both have been professional and proper. Happy with the results
