Dr. Thomas Tuan Dovan, MD

I am a cardiac nurse who types 8 hours a day. My hands, had become so severely arthritic that I could not perform my job for more than an hour or two due to severe pain. Dr Dovan gave me new hands and new life without pain and the ability to return to work! I am so grateful to him and his staff for the care I received. I would recommend Dr Dovan to anyone who needs help with their hands/ wrists or upper extremities, after the wonderful experience I have had.

Dr Dovan explains the injury and the procedure to correct in an understandable way. He is patient answering all questions. He is compassionate, empathetic. He monitors post rehab insuring it is not to quick or slow.

I had appt with Dr. Dovan a couple weeks prior regarding extreme left arm pain. I had an xray and good visit with physician on solution. Yet, pain persisted and became incredibly painful. I could not bend arm at elbow. I called his nurse a week later... and she insisted I do nothing and see if pain was still present after 2-3 weeks. I asked for further testing and follow up. She was very unhelpful....and I still have the problem.

Workers Comp do NOT use Dr. Dovan, he will lie to you. He will tell you you are not injured & that it is not a work related injury in the same sentence. Don't fall for the doctor to the "Titans" as I was. I'm sure he gives them 110% of his medical expertise as well as his paying customers. Workers comp doctors get paid same amount of $ whether they see 1 patient or a 1000 paitents, so this is lazy pandering to workers comp insurance. Do NOT use Dr Dovan if you have a workers comp claim.

I had surgery with Dr. Dovan last year and could not be more pleased with my outcome, the follow up and the whole experience. He is kind, thorough and extremely knowledgeable/ skilled. I did not think I would ever return to playing tennis at the level I was used to but now I am. Now my teenage son has an elbow injury and I am so grateful that we know a specialist that we fully trust to take him to.

My experience with this provider was seriously marred by the impatience and disrespect shown me by a young nurse on his staff. She should find a different profession and he should find a different nurse. My surgery was OK.

My wife saw this doctor today. The wait was extremely long for a very quick visit with no real diagnosis. He spoke to us like we should be up to date on medical teminology and seemed to be irritated that she asked questions. I do not recommend this doctor if you a need caring, patient explination in laymens terms.

In 2005 in an accident I almost cut my right thumb off and had to have surgery. The accident left no feeling on the side of my thumb. This interfered with my joy in cooking for I had to be careful handling hot cooking ware. I was depressed to say the least but Dr. Dovan said with time the feeling would come back, he wouldn't let me lose hope. You said to let you know when the feeling came back so I'm letting you know it's back. Thanks for not losing faith in my recovery when I did.

I had been treated for two years by another orthopedic doctor without any success. I was in constant severe pain on my first visit. Dr. Dovan did an exstensive physical exam and was able to find my problem immediatley. I am so thankful that I was able to find him. I have the utmost faith in Dr. Dovan and his staff is the best. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone.
