Dr. Thomas Douglas Frandsen, MD

I do not recommend this provider as their front office staff is extremely difficult and rude. I was denied service because Blue Cross had not yet assigned my member ID on my new policy, which was because I changed employers. Despite providing proof of coverage, and even calling Blue Cross from their office to confirm, they wouldn't work with me and denied service. I even offered to provide a $1,000 deposit, and they told me they've been burned too many times- implying I was lying to them or attempting to get free service. Scheduling with Dr. Frandsen was a huge waste of time and now it will be several weeks before another provider can see me.

Went in for an annual exam, got a bill and paid it (sent it in the mail to the outfit in Georgia that does their billing). When I got another bill from Georgia, I assumed the bill and my payment had simply crossed in the mail and disregarded it. Then, a month later, I received another bill. I looked into it and noted that the check had cleared my account over a month before. I called the local lady in billing and she said that there was a record of the money coming in, but it was not credited to my account. She called me back and said that the people in Georgia had omitted one of the numbers on my account so the payment had gone to someone else's account. They got it straightened out, but what a hassle!

My husband (who is in his mud-60’s) has seen Dr. Frandsen on many occasions for everything from checkups to fractured ribs to heart issues etc... I have been to many appointments with him. We both appreciate his skill and thoroughness as a Dr and his friendly concerned demeanor as a human being. If he has to refer us to another Dr for imaging or specialized care, he generally makes a follow up call to see how my Husband is doing. He is also good about calling to convey test results or to schedule a follow up appointment. He is the Dr my Husband prefers to go to and has become his Primary Care Physician. We highly recommend him.

In my dealings with him, he would probably be fine with young to middle aged adults but being a senior (mid 60’s) I found him to be short and unconcerned with my needs. He made me feel like I was taking up valuable space and time. I would definitely NOT recommend him to anyone over the age of 50. I left that clinic specifically because of him attitude and treatment.
