This office does not call to provide your test results. They assume the position that "no news is good news". You will wait about 3 weeks for a follow-up to review your results....regardless. For instance, my blood work showed a glucose level of 383, however, the office did not call me. I felt so bad after 2 weeks of having the blood work that I called them and asked for the results. They seemed shocked at the levels when they were reading them back to me, which meant they hadn't even looked at the lab results. Once I called, they asked if I could come in for an A1C test. I went in immediately....and again, they never called me with those results. I felt so bad the next day I finally had to go to the Emergency Room. My blood sugar was over 400 and my A1C level was 18.7. I feel that I did not receive the level of patient care that a person deserves. This office has no sense of urgency and provides no follow-up calls. Unless there are major "office policy" changes, I would… NOT recommend this office for personal health care.

If you are satisfied with an unproffesional family Dr then he is the one to see. Once under the Sentara umbrella when he started his own practice in Jan 2018 he completely changed.

I can't say enough about how good a doctor Dr. G is. He and his staff always listen and express concern about me and my health. He has really helped me with my ongoing problems. He maintains a good network of specialists, so if I need specialized care, as I have in the past, he has me covered. His staff is professional and courteous. You can't go wrong with Dr. G.
