Dr. Thomas P. Giudice, MD, FACOG, FPMRS

Dr. Giudice haa been very helpful & caring with my bladder issues and surgery. I think he has been "with me" all the way. Those people complaining about X, Y, Z in NO way resemble my experiences with him.. Are we even talking about the same doctor?

Had a consultation and a followup visit. Rather than schedule a procedure he performed a test on 1st visit. We scheduled a 2nd visit after which he would review the test results and my records. On the second visit he advised me upon arrival that there was nothing he had to offer me that I had not already been tested for. He referred e to MUSC for further workup. I appreciated his honesty and referral. He could have subjected me to further testing and visits.

I would never recommend this Ob Gyn. His sanitation, sterilization practices are horrific.

SUPER DOC

Dr. Guidice was a wonderful OBGYN in that he fitted me with the proper device since I have a vaginal prolapse. It took three trials for the correct proper fit and that worked wonderfully. I had an appointment to have this one checked by Dr. Guidice for proper fit before ordering the permanent one. He removed the device I had worn two weeks on trial basis from by body, had on gloves, then washed it with soap and water to reinsert in my body. His assistant was busy and not in the room. I was totally shocked, Dr. Guidice laid the wet device from soap and water on a bare counter by the sink before reinserting it. Nothing was between the wet device and counter, no one had wiped down the counter. I told the doctor this was unsatisfactory and to wash the device again with soap and water before inserting it again in my body. Later, I paid for the new device to be ordered. The staff informed me it would be in the office in a week and they would call me to let me know to pick it up. I… noticed no one called and more than two weeks went by. Obviously something went down wrong when I reprimanded the doctor's methods of sanitation/sterilization. I had to wait for the office manager to return from vacation to learn the new device was indeed in the office. When I mentioned the concern of the issue I had with the doctor, the manager told me the counters are wiped down. Nothing was ever visually seen by me as being wiped down. As women with health concerns we visit a doctor in good faith, we appreciate their good service, but safe, sanitation/sterilization methods go hand in hand. For me, my trust in this doctor was destroyed in one moment of carelessness.

Refused to speak to me on the phone at 5pm and told the answering service if I called after hours to not page him b/c he would not call me back.

Dr. Guidice performed surgery on me for urinary incontinence when I did not have it and told me so. I suppose this was for insurance purposes. Anyway, after the surgery I had heaviness and pain in my perinea area and returned at least 3 X to see him. He told me it was imaginary, perhaps caused by some swelling I had, etc. He even had a vaginal scan taken and that revealed something but he was too busy entertaining an attractive lady gyn who was following him for the day. I was invisible although she looked at me with understanding and sympathy. There was nothing she could do as this idiot jabbered on about me as if I were not there. Later, since the condition worsened making intercourse impossible, I saw another physician in the same office. He told me I had symptoms of mesh implant adherence and that Dr. Guidice used this procedure routinely.

I had so many problems when I finally found Dr. Giudice. Was in a lot of pain, not just from my female problems but also had back and hip things going on...his first plan of action was to get me out of some of my pain..sent me to physical therapy (to also help prepare for surgery). Kept things moving right along, test, then surgery. I can truely say I fell in love with this man.....I had been in so much pain for so long and pretty much told by my primary care physican,,,I would just have to live with it....vaginal prolapse - really!? Ended up having about 4 different procedures to fix things, DaVinci...surgery went great,,,recovery pretty good, I did have a good bit of pain, but kept calling and talking with his nurse Tina. I only wished I had gone to him sooner,,,he's very understanding and wants to help.

Very uncaring he would not even acknowlage my husband in the room. I had a miscarraige and he seemed to be very arogant and prideful. I requested a different doctor which they did not honor so I left and I will never go back

My first visit to Dr. Giudice was probably the best visit to a doctor I have ever had. I had been dealing with recurrent infections for several years. He spoke to me before my initial visit, which really made me feel "at home" with a doctor for the first time. I was then given my exam & called back in his office to be given my results. I left there with the ease in finally getting a resolution to my recurrent problems. Needless to say I was back in there not even a month later with what I thought to be the same problem. I called that morning to see if I could come by and give a urine sample, so I went to the office to give a sample. They ran the urine culture & no infection, so he suggested I get an Ultrasound b/c of the pain I was having. Now b/c my first visit had cost me to the tune of almost $200.00, which had to be paid the day of visit (with insurance) I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to cost me money I didn't have. I asked the Ultrasound Tech to insure it wouldn't… cost me more than $70 for the days visit b/c that is all I had. She had me follow her back to the lobby to discuss this with the Nurse Tech which then in turn spoke to Dr. Giudice about the cost. His comment was "She has insurance doesn't she"? Nurse Tech informed him that I did. He then stated "What is the problem"? She then told him that I was just trying to make sure I had money for what I had to pay that day. He then told her "It shouldn't be more than $20 or $30, but if it is that big of a deal take it up front & have them figure it out". I ended up having the Ultrasound done & it turned out I had an Ovarian Cyst that had ruptured. I was then sent to the waiting room & after about 20 minutes called in his office to give me status of my Ultrasound. He explained that I had a ruptured cyst & that it looked like it was doing what it needed to be doing to run course, he gave me Darvocet for pain & sent me on my way. He didn't schedule any kind of follow up visit nor did he give me anything for infection, which I thought would be necessary for something like this. I got to the checkout, my bill was more like $50, I was told I had a balance from last time & then I got a bill almost 3 months later saying I owed $15 more. I left that day feeling like I was back where I started, looking for yet another doctor that would find a solution to my problem instead of "Masking it" with antibiotics & moving on to the next patient. I really was shocked to see the way Dr. Giudice turned out, I was so impressed the first visit & follow up visit and yet so disgusted by my second visit. Needless to say, I will not go back.
