First Meeting went great .... Waiting for Surgery

On Feb 24 2016 I suffered from severe back pain and after going to the hospital it was discovered I had a aortic Anurysm, I was life flighted to Shadyside and operated on by Dr Gleason and his staff, thankfully I am here to write this, I did suffer from a small stroke which has left e a bit disabbled, but it beats the alternative

I would not be able to write this/nor be alive today with what happened to me ! I have god and dr. Gleason to thank for this. I am one of many of his surgery miracles !

Scheduling the appointment was quick and efficient as well as tests prior to the appointment itself went smoothly. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately once we were taken back into the room to meet with the Dr we waited 2.5 hours!!! We saw the physicians assistant who was very efficient. Our appointment was at 8:40 AM and did not see the doctor until 11:30. This was very frustrating and disappointing for a first appointment. Fortunately follow up isn't for a long time.

I was lifeflighted to UPMC with unknown reason for multi organ shut down. Within hours I was in surgery for multiple heart issues.( Aorta tear, valve repacement, anurisym ). I want to thank Dr Gleason and his entire saff at UPMC Presby for saving my life. Without them including the ICU and 5th floor staff I would not be writing this today. The care I received was above and beyond!

I would like to thank Dr. Gleason and his staff for saving my life two times. He operated on me when nobody else would.

I developed severe chest pain and went to the hospital when they discovered I had an aortic dissection. I went to surgery immediately, and he replaced my aorta and saved my life. He gave me great confidence throughout the time I was in the hospital. He has followed me very closely ever since. The staff he works with are excellent.
