Dr. Thomas Gleason, MD

Why does this guy still have a job? He definitely does not know what he is doing, while being very rude and unprofessional, he lies on your paperwork and say everything is remarkable when your xrays prove just the opposite he need to be stopped. And I also looked up the malpractice cases he have against him and amazon this is who you choose to do your workman comp cases shame on you as well all to save a buck .

I waited for 5 hours to get 15 minutes treating time. This terrible doctor is impatient to listen to you. Whereas, doctors at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush are excellent! Short waiting time, experienced, good customer services. Especially, when listening to your story, how, when, where you are hurting. They want to make sure you understand each step the doctor is explaining to you. That is the difference.

I visited Dr. Gleason twice. Wish I checked reviews BEFORE I went to see him. I absolutely agreed with the previous review. He is a terse, impatient, cold, uncaring Doctor who makes you feel uncomfortable to even ask questions. I got impression he is not happy to be a Doctor. He acts as if he is doing a patient a favor to even meet with him - though the patient pays for his services. My questions were without response. I had an appointment time scheduled but forced to wait 1,5 hour. Dr. Gleason did not cure my pain, he left me with my pain and my frustrastion about the doctors. I ask myself why I have to pay for the first visit $337, the second - $167. For what?

I visited Dr. Gleason once for issues with my back. I waited over an hour to see him. He didn’t really listen to me and just prescribed treatment I had in the past. When I attempted to schedule a follow up appointment, he was booked for two months. His staff was not friendly and actually pretty rude. I will not return.

I had gone with my mother since she only know a little english and I felt so uncomfortable during our entire visit! He cut us off multiple times and when we had been scheduled for an MRI he had made his annoyance very evident. Apparently we were supposed to be handed the cd for the MRI but no one had given it to us nor notified we were supposed to get one so he had been complaining about that the entire time. We decided to switch providers for her back pain since then. It's too bad because the IBJI is a great place and we've never had problems there before... it wasn't any better that he was only scheduled there once every week or month, I'm unsure of which but either was it was hard getting an appointment.

I was referred to Dr. Gleason by my rheumatologist (pain specialist). Made two appointments and both were canceled by Dr. Gleason. After three months of trying to get into see him I give up! If this is how he treats someone in pain trying to see him for help I can't imagine how awful his follow up care would be.

The wait time was in excess of two hours, to see the doctor for 15 minutes. The new patient paperwork was tedious (approx 10 pages) which neither the doctor or the nurse read. The results - a referral to his colleague. I will never again go to this practice - IL Bone & Joint Institute, or doctor.

I had been to 2 previous dr.'s and was told that I needed surgery. Since the dr. I had at IB&J, had left. I was assigned Dr. Gleason. His assistant was very pleasant as well as the x-ray tech. When Dr. Gleason came in, he greeted me, read the x-ray and told me the problems that he saw on my x-ray and agreed with the diagnoises of my former dr. He then stated that he doesn't believe in doing surgery on everyone. He told me to see a dr. that specializes in pain management. I have been suffering with this pain off and on for over two years. Had 2 rounds of steroid shots, rehab, chiropractor, yoga. I followed every suggestion to help with this back pain. The pain has begun to travel down my legs, and is extremely painful. This dr. doesn't think that my back problem is caused by the problems on the x-ray. It's probably caused by something else. He didn't even want to answer any questions. He was in and out.

Dr. Gleason is a terse, impatient, cold, uncaring Doctor who makes you feel uncomfortable to even ask questions. A real wet fish type of disposition. I got impression he is not happy to be a Doctor / Surgeon. He acts as if he is doing a patient a favor to even meet with him - though the patient pays for his services. Doctors are not GOD - even though some think they are. I felt he did not give me all details of my diagnosis - had to ask him questions to get specifics. I got my diagosis & MRI Results, but will NEVER return back to him. I had an appointment time scheduled but forced to wait 1 hour - it was long & dragged out. I would definitely NOT feel right for Dr. Gleason to do my Surgery. Wish I checked reviews BEFORE I went to see him.
