Dr. Thomas Jeffrey Green, MD

In 1986 I fell on ice which resulted in a fractured hip. The York Pennsylvania surgeon whom I had never met, Michael Moritz, did a repair. As I was awakening from surgery he told me there "might" be an issue that would need to be addressed as one of the screws was not totally in place! I experienced a lot of pain and months later a second procedure was performed which led to more problems. A third procedure using my own bone tissue to fill the holes left me crippled. My leg shrank and I experienced ongoing pain. In 1995 a stranger came to walk a competitive course for an equine cross country event. He was late and I offered to walk the course with him so he would not get lost. As we walked the course he asked about my limp and said "I could repair that." I was surprised that anyone would proffer such help and wrote it off. I did not forget the conversation and asked a number of riding friends if they knew of him and the universal response was "Yes, he is a great orthopedic surgeon."… After about a year I made an appointment to see Dr. Green and he checked my records and suggested a hip replacement. I trusted him and agreed to the procedure in 1996. He replaced my hip, lengthened my leg which corrected the limp. He explained that the glue might only last twenty or so years so I might require another surgery. It is now 2018 I have had no limp, no pain, no problems, and the glue is secure.Dr. Green is responsible for giving me over twenty years of a wonderful life. I was able to resume fox hunting after the hip replacement, be active and enjoy a blessed life of good physical health. He is an extraordinary physician and a caring human being. I can never say "thank you" adequately. It was my blessing to come into his orbit. He cured me else I would still be a cripple.
