Dr. Thomas J Harpole, MD

Without a doubt, Dr. Harpole is the best doctor I've ever been too. It's nice to know there are still doctors who truly care about their patients and don't treat you like a number.

Serious lack of urgency & showing of care to get your problems solved and dealt with so you can feel better. Also lacking some more of the modern medical (past decade or two) practice and studies. Visited doctor 6 months ago with GI bleed, pain in upper right abdomen (right where the gallbladder is), and have a history of Crohn's Disease. After an esophogial duodenoscopy & colonoscopy I was sent home for a follow up in 3 weeks. Visited doctor, and got sent home for another follow up in three weeks. This process went on for 4 more months, then I was told by Harpole he was "perplexed." He never once suggested a HIDA scan of my gallbladder, or a HRCP of the Sphincter of Oddi. I had to Google and research my problem myself, go to the hospital and demand the ER to perform the HIDA scan because I was sick of suffering & waiting for Harpole's "3 weeks later appointments" which had gone on for 6 months. Got the HIDA scan, and found it's not my gallbladder. I just called his office… asking for him to call in a muscle-relaxer prescription to the pharmacy since my symptoms are getting worse, and he told me to "take a Tylenol."

Arrived 15 minutes early as requested but ended up waiting over an hour past the appointment time before being seen. Whole consult lasted less than 10 minutes. Office and treatment rooms could really use an update. They're struggling with technology but whole practice seems to be stuck in the paper age.

Dr. Harpole has been one of the best doctors that I have been to EVER. He shows a genuine concern for your ailments. He is truly intent on finding out the reason why I am in chronic pain. He has not concluded that "it is all in my head; psychosymatic)" as so many other doctors have said. Pain is real and is your body's way of letting you know something is amis. I am excited when it is time to go see Dr. Harpole as I know that he is fighting for my overall health. I seriously believe he must be one of the best MDs around. He is truly awesome; a God send in my life. Thank you Dr. Harpole!!
